Small, powerful and genuine figures.
At last a full spectrum light that is being honest about what it does. I have the 1200w version. It's smaller than others I have owned because it uses the amazing Samsung led technology. This means you get more light from less space. This means it generates less heat and the fans don't have to work as hard. I know some people have said they found it loud but I don't think it is. I suppose everyone will have a different view on that. I can see why they give a 3 year guarantee. Its well built. I have tested it using a light meter app and it delivers all the figures they claim. I cannot fault this unit for quality and value. Wish all purchases on amazon where this easy.

Seriously Bright; Not for Liviing Spaces
I am using to grow rice in an aquarium; top marks for brightness.Well constructed unit, no noticeable heat emitted. The light, even indirectly reflected, is too harsh to be around for more than a few seconds and I found it visually disturbing and unsettling; but then it is what it is! I have improved the situation by constructing a hood to cut out much of the unwanted spread of the light, but will always turn it off if I am nearby for any time at all.

Excellent Value, Actually Does What It Says
First off, lets bust some myths being touted here... 1. It is a 2000w EQUIVALENT lamp - meaning by using its 200 odd watts, it is producing the same amount of light as standard bulb drawing 2000 watts (which for those lamps means that 1800 watts of heat is being pumped out - so its more of a heater than a light, whereas this is a light). When an HPS light goes out, the temperature in a grow tent will plummet, due to the loss of all that heat. An HPS by the way is more efficient than a standard bulb but only by a few percentage points, so still the majortity of your electricity is being radiated as heat not light. 2. As far as your plant is concerned it is FULL spectrum - it provides all the useable light the plant needs, the stuff a plant cant use in 'daylight' goes to waste - this type of light is not wasteful in that respect. When you look at the leaves under the light, they appear black, because all of the light falling on them is being 'absorbed'. 3. The important thing about light intensity is lumens - this is not quite the 24000 of full sunlight, but its a lot better than most bulbs and importantly its all in the spectrum areas plants require for photosynthesis, so no wastage. So no one here is lying about ratings or wattage or anything to do with the equivalency of the light - it is just that EQUIVALENT. So I am using this to light an area 120 x 60 and it is providing 'daylight' light levels equivalent to the midsummer in the tropics over that area. My seedlings react by growing exactly as they would in the wild, sturdily and quickly. I have chillis up in 4 days, cactus in 3 and some succulents inside 36 hours - none are showing stress, none are getting 'leggy'. No sure if I will use it to grow a crop to maturity, though I feel sure it would easily do this, but for me this is more to do with available space and the fact that I will grow stuff on in a conventional greenhouse afterwards. This allows me to start early for long season crops in a dark garage with little more than this light, a grow tent and some bottom heat. So for its cost (about the same as an HPS with a ballast and gear) it is using 20% of the electricty - requires none of the ventilation (which just blows out the heat into a cold void, rather than being able to seal it in with the plants and lights up and extinguishes instantly on my timer. All in all excellent value for the price. 31 Jan 2024 - I now have 5 of these lights - the original 2000w variant used in the germination tent and another 4 x 1200w lights, daisy chained in a larger growing on tent. All are on timers, providing 14 on and 10 off or 16 on and 8 off. Again Chillis are up inside a week and growing away well. Tomatoes the same and all of my cacti sowings are showing no signs of stress.

Good but needs practical use to work out best height
Using to start seedlings using John innes potting compost. The crust of the compost dries out unevenly particularly in the middle section. Moved the light further away but problem continued. Some seeds failed but might have been to over watering

Cheap and cheerful
Great light at first. Was unlucky though mine developed a fault. I think due to heat they fused a few times. Fine with ones with replacements

Goes beyond it's value in terms of worth!
Don't listen to the negative reviews, this light is beyond what it's worth! I was a little sceptical at first reading some reviews but having run one since may without any single issues I can openly say this grow light is perfect. My tomatoes are looking absolutely fantastic and it's all thanks to how powerful the LED's are on this light and the plus side to that is it costs pennies to run, it's not even noticeable on my electricity bill! Works as intended, One Veg and One bloom switch for light settings and you can run both at once if you wish, the vents push out hot air nicely keeping the unit from overheating but at the time not scorching the tent it sits in, normally it sits about 23c in my small tent with just the one unit both veg and bloom light on. In short for something so well built and simple to put together straight out the box for this price is a no brainer! I'll be grabbing a second in the near future!
