I love this electric teapot! It is the perfect size heats up very quickly. The temperature control is awesome. It's beautiful to look at in. The lid is a very good fit. Would definitely buy another one if this one broke down.

I have a friend who doesn't have a coffee pot. I can't imagine that, myself. However, she has an electric kettle and keeps an assortment of teas, hot chocolate mixes, and instant coffee available for her guests. There are many times that I want tea or coffee and don't have the need to make a full pot, so a kettle is a nice way to allow me to do that. Sure, I can heat water in the microwave, but that can be tedious, especially if you are making more than one cup. Yes, I'll admit it. I had kettle envy. So, I decided to start looking for a kettle of my own. I had a couple of requirements: I did not want a plastic kettle, it needed to have automatic shutoff, and it needed to heat water quickly. I came across this little guy and it fit the bill perfectly. All of my appliances are stainless or black, so this kettle looks nice on my counter, and is available to heat up water at any time. I have teenagers, so they are always using boiling water for soups and noodles and whatever else, and this works very well for that. I use it for tea, instant coffee, and to make coffee in my french press. It is so convenient! The water heats up so quickly, even faster than I expected. It doesn't make noise when the water is ready, but you can hear the water boiling, and you can hear the kettle making a click sound when the water is heated. I have owned several products from Hamilton Beach, and have always been pleased with them. I associate Hamilton Beach with quality, and this kettle does not disappoint. It feels very sturdy. Filled with water, it can have some weight to it, but it isn't too bad. It is about the same weight as a full pot of coffee. The outside of the kettle can get very hot, but the handle stays cool, which I like. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the water stayed warm afterward. My friend saw this on my counter and could not believe that I paid about the same amount for my kettle as she did for her plastic one. I guess now she has kettle envy! I imagine she will be purchasing this model very soon.

I bought this 2 years ago & use it everyday. It is fast & dependable. I have had much more expensive kettles that did not perform any better. We are very happy with it.

I needed an electric kettle that works to replace one that stopped working. This one fit the bill and was from a brand I'd actually heard of (although I suspect most of them are made in the same factories). The only complaint I have about it is that it's a little more expensive than it probably should be for what it is. Comparable models are available for significantly less than $30. And these don't last forever so spending more isn't necessarily a great thing. Most of them last about the same amount of time (maybe a couple years of daily use if you're lucky) The plastic lid gets a little hot but is fine if you only touch it long enough to close it and you don't touch the wrong spot and burn the piss out of yourself. It works. It boils water. It should last a year or two. The main con there would be for this unit is for people who don't like plastic being in contact with boiling water. The water fill level indicators (windows) on either side are plastic and the bottom of the lid is plastic. Doesn't bother me but if that's an issue for you, you're probably going to have a hard time finding a kettle. Most of them have at least one plastic indicator window and a plastic lid. And to be honest, I love the nice big fill level windows because you never want to boil an electric kettle dry and it's really nice to be able to see how much water is in there at a glance. Most kettles have the window in the back where it is kind of obscured by the handle. Which makes it kind of hard to see. The visibility for this is great. I also noticed a couple of rust spots had appeared on the inside on the (stainless steel) bottom like the second time I used it. I don't know if that will go away eventually or not but it's not reassuring. It's not scale either. It's rust. I have owned and used electric kettles for many years and I know the difference. I have never seen rust on the inside of a new kettle before. This tells me they might be using cheaper materials than they used to. I'm a fan of Hamilton Beach products (in general). I have two of their slow cookers and love them both. I have another Hamilton Beach kettle with electronic temperature control that I bought a couple of years ago and it has served me well (no rust on that one). Maybe the rust will go away? I don't think it's actually harmful (at least not for very small rust spots like the ones mine has) but.....that's not supposed to happen with stainless steel. Right?

This tea kettle works very well for me. It heats quickly and keeps the water hot for awhile. Also, I especially appreciate the automatic shut off and the exterior window to see from the outside how much water is in the kettle. The lid functions well. I think this kettle is safer than using one on top of the stove and it frees up the stove.

I have ordered the Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle twice before. The previous kettle lasted over three years--great for the amount of use it got. When it died I clicked re-order. What came is not the same product. It is similar, but does not feel as substantial, and will leak around the top if I don't pour slowly. It should have been presented as a different model. It does, however, heat water to a boil rapidly and it shuts off automatically.

I should have bought one of these years ago. They are easier, faster, and safer than a stovetop kettle and this Hamilton Beach is well priced and good quality. My only complaint really isn't the fault of the manufacturer but it's an annoyance none the less. I prefer to use filtered water from my refrigerator and it's a difficult fit to get the kettle underneath the spigot in the front of the fridge. I spilled a lot of water before figuring out the proper positioning of the kettle. That issue aside, I highly recommend.

I have been using this electric kettle for about a week now and I am quite amazed. There is a booklet that comes with the kettle and you can register it online. I highly recommend reading the pamphlet before use. The form factor of this kettle is actually quite sleek. It has an automatic shut off when the kettle gets to boiling. This kettle holds up to 1.7 l which is quite a bit. But the kettle is 1500 watts so the electric kettle heats up quite fast to a boiling and then shuts off by itself. This is a really nice feature to have. Since this electric kettle holds more water than I need for my tea. To reduce the risk of burning myself I recommend only filling the kettle up halfway. And leaving the lid open. I make sure to turn the kettle away from me just in case. I highly recommend this electric kettle.

Es muy buena, esa marca dura mucho tiempo, casi no tarda en calentar el agua, lo único que no me gusta es que a la hora de abrir la tapa te salpica agua, hazlo con cuidado solamente, de allí todo me encanta
