Exceptional Support for Mobility and Stability
Although sold as a hiking staff, I purchased this for my boyfriend who struggles with severe walking difficulties, and it has become an essential part of his daily life. Unlike standard canes, which often buckle under pressure, this staff is incredibly sturdy and dependable. It gives him the confidence to walk without fear of his support failing. What truly sets this staff apart is its ability to prevent dangerous falls. When he occasionally loses consciousness, a normal cane would collapse, sending him to the ground. This staff, however, is strong enough to catch and brace him until he regains stability. That level of reliability has been life-changing and has greatly improved his safety. It also performs exceptionally well across different terrains. Whether itโs dirt, mud, gravel, snow, or ice, the staff provides solid support and traction, making it far easier for him to move around without hesitation. This is not just a hiking accessoryโitโs a powerful mobility aid. For anyone in need of dependable stability and support, I cannot recommend the aiGear Tactical Stick highly enough. It has given my boyfriend greater freedom, confidence, and most importantly, safety in his everyday movements.

Plenty strong, Different configurations.
It is a little heavy. If you have to occasionally support your weight this is the walking stick. I ordered a couple of extra sections and the shovel/entrenching tool head. With these you can give yourself a cane when appropriate and, with the added sections a great STRONG hiking staff. With the included tools, extra sections and accessories, this thing is like a Lego set for grown-ups. A bunch of configurations. Good machining, finish and strength. I walk my dog early in the morning (still dark). It's nice to have a substantial walking stick with me. This is a great defensive stick. I wish there were more accessories (goodies) available. One strong bowie configured blade (about 4+ inches) would be great.

The stick itself is great, but using it like it was sent is a hospital bill waiting to happen
The overall rating for the product is tough for me. The stick itself is outstanding. If it wasn't over 5 stars, it would have an overall rating of 2 or 3. It is tough, and heavy duty. A hiker that would be using it for many miles many days in a row might want lighter, but for my uses it is a plus. I expect it to serve me well for a long time. That is the good. I bought the model with the tools. They were about what I expected for the extra I paid. Not something I would want to count on in any situation. They seemed ok, and they would probably get a 3 stars. The folding knife does not seem to be as strong, and the saw seems so small as to only seem like a reasonable option for the smallest of branches. The main problem is they don't come with anything that covers the cutting surface. If you take them out of the stick, there isn't something to cover any of the blades. At this price point, I think that would be a reasonable expectation. Do not feel deceived or cheated, but there is a lot of room for improvement in the tools. When you do remove the tools, it does one thing I did not expect and that is it shortens the stick. There is a threaded end on the end of each tool that has about an inch or so that screws into the rest of the stick. It decreases the length of the overall stick by about an inch for each tool removed. In my situation it was enough that I needed another extension tube. I liked the stick well enough to order one. That brought me to the next problem. The numbers that match assessory to the right stick are very confusing. It said the threads are different for the different sticks, but that would seem to be the first thing one would standardize. I looked and couldn't find anything that says what the threads are on my model. I never found numbers I matched. I searched on the number provided on the stick, but the numbers on the extension references numbers that do not appear on the stick page. I think I got the right one, but it shouldn't be that hard. The two descriptions should have easily found numbers that make it easy to see its the right one. I would appreciate the thread and tube size if the manufacturer would be kind enough to supply it. It is likely I am going to need a height that will not match the extensions act and will need a tube of a length other than the standard extension tubes. A big add to the product would be extension tubes that are 1, 2, and 3 inches. By being able to have those, one could customize the length to the individual buyers needs. Finally the downright dangerous. It's as many have said the tip. On anything other than soil, the tip that came with it is a trip to the hospital waiting to happen. On soil it might work, but anything else taking weight of any amount without it slipping is expecting a miracle. On any regular floor, it is more of a liability than an asset. I don't have carpet in the house anymore, and it might be better on that, but any hard surface is going to be really problematic and at this price point, that was a big surprise. The tip I would give a rating of below 0, even with the fire starter attached. I went and got a non slip table leg tip to put on it to correct the problem. With a non slip tip, it works well. That fixes the slip problem, but it also shortens the stick again. That takes another maybe 2 to 3 inches off the length. The other change I would make is some way to have a cap between sections. The inside of the stick has room to put things that are valuable to someone that would be important in a given area, but not necessarily everywhere. A cap that would attach like the tools, but separate the sections of the stick so items in one section could not fall into the one below it would be a big help It is a good product, but it could be a lot better and not add anything to the price.

Awsome stick
I really love this walking stick. I use it when I go hiking in the woods. The T handle makes it great to hold your weight. I got a bad knee and it heps support me where it dosent hurt so bad after walking a while. The tools in it are cool too. Dont know if Ill ever need them but they are there incase I do. All kinds of storage inside you can put some extra smokes or whatever in. Only thing is I wish it had a compass.

Great Product, Bought Two of Them, Would Buy Again Except I Don't Need Three
Well, first of all this beast is heavy metal. It is also very adaptable ( can be configured in various lengths with or without one or another of the tools ). I don't need it for walking. I need for self-defense ( aggressive dogs, muggers, bears ). Did I mention this stick is massive. It is also very good for exercising the arm and shoulder muscles while you walk. I keep one in my home by the door and the other in my car.

PERFECT WALKING STICK. Buy this, you wonโt be sorry
I am a partially disabled veteran and I live in the desert. I am always out and about. I run across coyotes and other wild life from time to time. I feel I have an extra level of protection as well as a Very well made, sturdy and durable piece of equipment. Easy to size to your height and plenty of options. Due to my disability I have to use a cane from time to time and this perfect fit that as well. I take out a section or two and Iโm ready to go. I take it with me everywhere. ( I get a lot of compliments on my cane at the VA hospital ) BUY THIS. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY

Great Idea, But Needs A little Better Execution.
This is a great idea for a cane but it has some short comings. First off, it's machined from solid aluminum and is very sturdy but that comes at a price, weight. It weighs 2lbs 12 ounces with all the sections and tools put together. Not an issue for me, but if you're older and not as strong it could be, so keep that in mind. The next issue is that the tools are inserted into plastic bases which with serious use could possibly come loose. After using it for a couple of hours I tried to unscrew one of the tools and it was almost impossible. I had to put vise grips on it to get it undone. So I threaded them on and off several times and put just a drop of oil on the threads and it seems OK now. The biggest issue is the tip. It's not anti-slip as stated in the description. It's made of a hard plastic which slips all over the place on hard surfaces. To make matters worse the tip is round instead of having a flat foot shape like a cane. Which causes even less surface area for contact. If you're going to use this for stability don't be surprised if you slip and fall while using it on hard surfaces. So now I'm looking for a rubber sleeve or tip which I can slip over the hard plastic one. With all that said I'm still keeping it as it's nice and hefty and wonderfully machined.

High quality product
Great concept & design, modular with add-ons, ultimate hiking/survival staff, strong & valuable.. down side is, a bit heavy, tip is hard and slippery on hard surfaces.

Incredible tool, hiking and walking stick
I was a bit sceptical of this at first. I originally wanted a steel walking stick, something strong and looks modern and fashionable. I didn't want one of those normal walking stick, but something that goes for my everyday use. I suffer from epilepsy, so I need something that I could walk around with every day and something that I can put a bit of pressure on without worrying that I'm going to break it. This item won't be for everyone. Be warned that it's very heavy, but of extreme good quality. It looks like one if those James Bond gadgets with secret hidden compartments. The pole is hollow, and I got the one with tools. There are three sharp tools hidden which would be very useful when hiking or going camping. Most important due to the material of this stick, it could also be a very useful utility item for outside use. It will take time getting use to the weight of this, but it's a good compromise to have when walking the dog at night. It's a good deter to have for anyone who wants something for self protection.

Very usable, looks cool and sturdy but ideally for use outdoors
I love my new walking stick. Perfect addition for a former Boyscout with a broken hip. The stick is a bit on the heavy side, but it is absolutely useable. The tools are kinda ok-ish, nothing to write home about, and the knife needed a good sharpening. Didn't get to hammer in a nail or break a brick with the handle, but I am convinced that would not be an issue at all. The ONE lil gripe I do have is the Firestarter in the bottom part, mostly because the rounded surface of the rubber knob tends to slip when you walk on very flat surfaces. What I did was use the knob from my old stick and fixed it with some electrical tape. (see images) Now I don't have a firestarter in my stick, but I can walk without having to fear falling on my face because the stick slipped away. Outdoors it works great with the round knob, just inside when Ur walking on tiles for example it's a bit of a challenge. But it can be done. Still, since it's a walking stick and these are usually meant for ppl with mobility issues I have to take a star away for that.

Best walking stick I've ever had, and good a good tactical
Wow what a great product, I am a leg amputee, have been for many years, I've had many walking stick over the years, and this is the best one yet. It's a bit on the heavy side but I like that, I am 5foot 8 ,so I didn't have to use the other attachment, nice comfort in the hand well worth the money, I would feel very confident using this, not just for walking. The extra parts are a bonus. If you got the other one without the extra parts I believe its a little bit lighter.
