I love Essie base coat, polish, and top coat so much that I take my own to the salon when I get a manicure. These products are such beautiful quality that I never want to use any other products on my nails. Most nail products contain many harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. These harmful ingredients are absorbed into our bloodstream. Essie does not contain these harmful ingredients, so they are much safer to use. I'm very happy with how long my manicure lasts. Essie products make my nails stronger and healthier than any other product. And this product is vegan.

Helped my nails feel stronger. Dries quickly.

I have tried all. I chew my nails. I wash a lot of dishes without gloves. I always had short ugly nails until I tried Essie. Essie helps them grow fast and strong. Just need to remove and polish every week depending on individual needs. I put two layers then gradually went down to a single polish. My nephew bites his nails. He is in his 30's and he still bites his nails. I got him this product and within a year, he stopped biting his nails completely. It hardens your nails so biting does not crack nails. When you see your nails growing, your temptation to bite ceases.

My first step before applying polish every time! Covers well, not too thin and not too thick and dries quickly. This strengthens my nail and helps with any bleed thru of colors to my nailbed.

I am one of those people that has always suffered from weak brittle nails my whole entire life. I work in an office so I am constantly always banging my nails onto shelves, cupboards, table edges and even carrying boxes so they are extremely vulnerable to breaking and chipping! I tried this Essie Grow Stronger Base coat and it's been holding up well so far! I put two coats on my nails and they feel extremely hard and not flimsy. I really enjoyed using this nail polish. I would definitely would recommend this nail polish if you are looking for stronger, healthier nails. I also love that the nail polish goes on extra smooth and drys fast. There is hardly any smell like other nail hardeners and best of all, it's from the brand I love the most. I am one happy camper and I've got stronger nails now!

I purchased this base coat nail polish because I have short, thin, brittle nails. It is made with biotin, which is a great ingredient for helping your nails grow healthier. I use it without any other polishes on top, and I’ve noticed my nails growing faster, and thicker ( they don’t crack as easily ), in just a few days! This base coat doesn’t wear off easily or chip either. I clean a lot so my hands are constantly getting wet, and it holds up great. I am SO glad I decided to purchase this Essie Base coat polish and will definitely purchase it again in the future. I definitely recommend this polish to anyone who has thin nails that could really use a great strengthening product. It’s definitely worth the price!

I really liked the results I got using Essie Strong Start Base Coat because of how fast it dried and starting working after just one use. Most comparable products for nail strengthening need to be used consistently for weeks to feel the benefit, but you can see and feel stronger nails after the first use with Essie Strong Start. Once dry, the nails with strong start base coat on them feel stronger and harder than ones without the base coat, but not so hard or stiff that it feels heavy or uncomfortable. The base coat has a very nice polished look alone on nails, but also provides a great base for a coloured polish. I really like that the formula includes biotin in it, as sometimes taking biotin supplements isn't enough to improve your nail hardness, or takes a long time to see the benefit. I would definitely recommend this Essie Base coat to everyone no matter your nail condition, and will continue using it often.
