Best sled money can buy
I bought this sled after reading reviews for various sleds. Despite its plain and simple look, this sled is very well built. Its sturdy enough to hold my 4 year old son (35 pds) and I (69" & 170pds) when we ride down together. Mostly he enjoys just laying down head first on his abdomen as he slides down alone. The plastic material allows it to travel further than other sleds. We just got back from sledding this morning, my son's sled consistently traveled further than the other sleds we saw. Other parents were wondering where we got ours. Most importantly, since the sled is shaped like a small boat he was able to tuck himself safely inside. I noticed kids on the flat sleds tended to fall off their sleds pretty often. Overall a great buy.

Good sled, kids had fun
I ordered two of these sleds for my daughters. We only had one weekend with enough snow for sledding this year, but they had a blast with these sleds. I would have given 5 stars if they came with a short length of rope on the front to help them pull the sleds up the hill. My kids lost their grip coming up the hill a few times, and had to go back chasing after them. Also, it would have been nice to be able to pick the color of the sled. That might have been a deal-breaker, but since I needed something for the kids for the one big snow event of the year since we had just moved into a neighborhood with a great hill right away, I gave these a try. Both ended up being orange, and the kids didn't care.I'm hoping we get some more snow next winter so the kids can get more time sledding.

It's surprising that other reviews reference how sturdy and how affordable this sled is
It's surprising that other reviews reference how sturdy and how affordable this sled is. Ours cracked near the handle on the first run of the season; by run #3, we needed duct tape to hold the sled together. For a ~$30 plastic sled, we would have expected the product to at least last through one winter. Thoroughly unimpressed with this product...

Great Sled
We purchased this to take our two and a half-year-old sledding for the first time. This weekend, it finally snowed enough for us to sled down the driveway. (It doesn't snow much around here). My son, his friend and I flew down our driveway in this sled. It was exactly what we needed-- a sled large enough for us to ride with our son until he was ready to go by himself. Our neighbor brought over one of the round disk sleds, and it cracked the first time she rode it down the driveway.

Fast, but cracked after a few dozen runs
The sled is rigid and lightweight and slick plastic, so it is one of the fastest sleds on a busy city hill. It's light enough that it's easy to carry back up too. Downsides? It doesn't come with a tow rope, but it does have holes cut so you can attach one yourself. It has no brakes or great way to steer, although you can steer some by leaning in the *opposite* direction you want to go. The biggest downside is just that it's cheap plastic and didn't last long. I have 2 boys in elementary school, one in the 90 lb range, and the sled cracked in its second season of very light use -- maybe we used it 3 or 4 days total for about 15 rides each day.
