The storage bag will not be crushed and crumpled But if you put fragile things in the storage bag, it is best to remove the storage bag when you fold the rear seats down

Yes it fits perfect under the rear seat of my 2019 wrangler. During Covid it fit a box of latex gloves, a box of masks and I had some small items as well… small flashlight bottle of aspirin stuff like that

Will it fit under the rear seats on a JK?

I have a 2019 JL 4 door & it fits perfectly under the middle person of the rear seat. It stays in place. If placed under the outboard rear seats, I don't know that it would stay in place. I don't know if much changed in the seat dynamics from the JK to the JL. The bag is very small. I put my tow strap, hook & some other odds n ends in it. The bag is not small enough to fit fully under the front seats (only about 1/2 the bag will fit). Plus, I'm not sure about how well the seat will move if the bag is placed there.
