Good quality steel, thick enough to not twist while trying to cut larger amounts of fur. They are sharp and had no trouble getting thru my cats long hair. You can use the rounded tips to get under mats safely without poking the cat. Also less of a risk of them putting an eye out vs a sharper pair. The blade length is short so you have a bit of torque to get thru thick fur. I've found the longer pairs are harder to deal with and this short pair makes sensitive areas less worrisome. It has a hand-adjustable hinge nut that allows you to dial in the amount of pressure the blades put on each other. It's a nice touch, you can adjust it on the fly. The finger loops are comfortable for me. I'm a guy but my hands are on the smaller side. I removed the squishy plastic finger loop inserts. I hate those. The cat I bought these for is a feral rescue. He has super long fur that gets all matted and tangled from burrs and whatnot. He usually gets upset after a few minutes of me trying to use a long pair of Fiskers. This time I was able to cut every mat off of him, even the armpits and his chest/neck. He actually seemed to enjoy it now that I am able to get some better precision at cutting under the mats. Good pair of cat trimmers. Would recommend all day long.

These work great. Yes, they are small. If you have big hands, move along. If you have smaller hands, they will still feel small. I found this to be an advantage though when grooming my pets. It makes it feel like I have better control of the scissors. They are extremely sharp and cut with a nice, smooth slice, the first time. No choppiness here. With my cats, they are also small enough that I can get in, cut out the matts, without them even noticing that I am holding anything. This really helps with them as they are so curious that cutting out a matt on them can be a real challenge. They normally love to put their whiskers in the crossfire of the blades. Highly recommend these scissors and would buy again if needed.

Services are sharp and do a great job at that, but you're not getting your fingers in the finger holes unless you're under the age of five!

Even though the finger holes are a little small, I still really like these scissors. When trimming my dogs hair, they cut on the first try and I don’t need to apply pressure in any way to the scissors to get them to cut better like other scissors do. Overall these are consistently sharp and cut properly each time. There are rubber inserts in the finger holes that can be removed if your fingers don’t fit to give you a little more room. If you have big fingers I would advise against purchasing these.

Very good for my dog’s little face. I did take the inserts out of the finger holes because it made them too small. Perfect now.

Nice scissors for beginner like myself, to self groom very anxious young puppy. Nice weight to scissors, not too heavy nor light, feels good holding and cutting. Tip of blades closed is well rounded, no sharp edges, as depicted. When open, tips are sharp. Blue inner circles can be removed, if need be. No need to adjust the knob for tightness yet, I will not fidget with something unless necessary. Blades are approximately 1 and 5/8 inches (1.625 in.) when fully opened. Cuts very well after full body cut of shih tzu. Quiet cutting, with rubber stopper between handles. My 5' 3" fat thumb and middle finger fit comfy in holes with blue circles removed. No foul odors in the plastic/rubber parts. Beautifully finished metal all around, can see your own reflection. Thank you Lazaar for a wonderful product!!

Really like these scissors, these are nice and sharp but with rounded ends so I don't worry about poking her. Great for face and paws of my goldendoodle.
