Zombie Fluxx Card Game - Ever-Changing Gameplay and Zombie Adventure

Still one of my favorite card games of all time. Its simple, fun, and easy to learn.

First, I don't have children. My husband and I wanted to play something fun at home, or have something to take to a family get together. Sometimes it's hard to find clever games for just 2 (or more) people. But this definitely takes the cake. It's pretty easy to learn. It was easier for me because he played it at work. Basically, read the rules, then just play a few hands to get used to it. The rules are written on each card and it keeps changing as you play the game. A game can last just a few minutes to about a half hour from what I can tell. We got version 4.0 and the Zombie Fluxx. They play about the same and I like them both. You can even combine them, or take a few cards from one and mix them with the original deck. The backs are all the same so that they blend together. The Original Fluxx won an award from Mensa in 1997 and I can see why. We played for a couple of hours and laughed and had a great time. You have to think and keep up with the cards that are in play, but it's all on the table in front of you so it's not hard. You'll use your mind, use some strategy and have a lot of fun all at once. There's even a family Fluxx which I think is a bit easier for younger kids. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this game for just about anyone. I have already decided to buy a few more decks and give them as gifts.

I used to play this game all the time when I was younger with my dad. It’s a fun game, and fairly easy for younger people to understand. Good quality cards, super cool looking artwork (some are, obviously, a bit creepy)

Its true, I carry this card game in my purse! Why? Because it is AMAZING FUN and whenever me and a group of friends are "bored," All I say is "Zombie Fluxx anyone?" and everyone jumps into a circle to begin playin =-) ! A friend of mine introduced me to Zombie Fluxx. I had never played or heard of the Fluxx games before. At first I was confused because of the ever changing rules, goals, etc. But that is what makes this game fun. It is ALWAYS different and NEVER gets old. I immediatly ordered my own copy. It came really fast! I threw the game into my purse to take it to a friends house for a game night. I introduced the game to every and we all had a blast!!! It has been in my purse ever since. There has been many occasions where it came in handy when we were looking for something to do. My friends have learned that I keep it with me, and just ask if we can play haha. A group of us even went out for dinner at a casual laidback pizza place. While we were waiting on food, we played!!! I've said enough. Just buy yourself a copy. You wont be dissappointed =-)

I could not be more pleased. This is my first Fluxx game, and I am now a huge fan of the genre. If you have never played Fluxx, don't be shy. It is easy to play, and a snap to learn. My girlfriend and I sat down, half drunk, and started playing without even reading the instructions. Really you just follow the instructions on each card. They are all very self-explanatory. Don't guess at the meaning, just do whatever it says and you will be fine. The game is complex enough to be fun, challenging, and highly re-playable. Every game will be different, because the rules change constantly. This one is easy to recommended! It is great for 2 players, or for a group!

Fluxx is a wonderful card game that's easy to teach and pick up, quick to play, and great fun in small groups. It's slightly different than the average card game - some of the game mechanics are alterable by cards that can be played during your turn. This allows the game to be interesting and unpredictable time after time, heightening replay value. Bang for the buck, I think the Fluxx series of card games is one of the best in the board game world today. This particular version, as I'm sure is readily apparent from the title, is zombie themed. Think of taking a shotgun to zombies, escaping with your friends in a car, or becoming a zombie yourself in order to win! While I'm not the biggest proponent of zombie themed things, it's definitely well executed. The only thing that prevents Zombie Fluxx from receiving five stars is the fact that regular Fluxx feels like a slightly more balanced game. I'd take Fluxx over Zombie Fluxx any day of the week because of the better ratio of the different types of cards. All in all, I highly recommend it!

Fluxx is a fun game for groups. My scouts and Venturers discovered Fluxx and we routinely play it on camp outs or other gatherings. The Zombie version adds in some additional rules which ups the randomness (and complexity) of the game play. Fluxx on its own can be a bit on the tougher side to learn at first, and the additional rules from the Zombie version can add to that difficulty, so only 4 stars on easy to learn. But once you get the hang of it, this is an immensely fun game to play with a group of friends.

Me and my wife (we're in our forties) play this all the time as a two player game. It is fun and fast once you get familiar with all the cards. The game is always a different experience with different strategies; a Fluxx tradition. This game includes creeeper cards, Zombies, that work differently than almost any other Fluxx game. So there is that added component for those of you who are considering a second or third version of Fluxx for yourselves. For those unfamiliar with Fluxx, it takes a few games to really get it down, but it is easy to learn and fun to play. Games can last up to an hour, but usually about thirty to forty mins. IT does require some space and some light to play (may not be the best game for camping), but it is just cards so it travels very easily.

Lots of fun. Allows me to play with friends. And I love zombies.

C'est l'invasion de zombie ! Les règles du jeu = lire les cartes posées sur la table, tout est dessus. (piocher une carte, jouer une carte... peut devenir piocher 4 cartes, jouer 3 cartes, nombre de cartes max dans la main à 3, et finalement, il faut devenir le maître des zombies pour gagner le jeu. Mais au tour suivant, l'objectif peut devenir réunir un ami et une tronçonneuse et ne pas avoir de zombie) Le jeu est toujours changeant. Aucune partie ne se ressemble. Et la thématique est très sympa. (jeu de cartes en anglais, peut-être moins adaptés aux très jeunes, qui peuvent avoir du mal à suivre un jeu aux avec les règles changeantes)

Uno de los mejores juegos de cartas a los que he jugado: divertidísimo, ideal para 4-6 jugadores y con la temática zombie de fondo, que le supone una expansión con respecto al juego original, y encima más barato que este. Recomendado a todos aquellos que les apasionan los juegos de mesa si el idioma (está en inglés) no es un inconveniente.

Fantastic game. Bought this after playing Pirate Fluxx at a friends house. The first game can take a little while to get your head round if you haven't played before - but it really is as simple as follow the rules written down in front of you! (With a tee exceptions of course!) Games can last from minutes to nearly an hour depending on group size, tactics and of course luck! I've since bought some other variants of the game - you can mix cards into each of the different decks to add further twists to each game. Brilliant and creative! Watch out for Larry.......
