I’ll be honest idk what this was even for my husband just said order it cause he needed it but it seems to be working like a charm!

Was using a Hobart magnetic ground clamp before ordering this one. This Magnetic ground is of amazing quality has a super strong magnet and has a side cutout to easily attach to pipe or square tubing. What I like is the fin design that allows it to dissipate heat so it doesn't get too hot and lose its magnetism. You can also easily just turn the knob to turn off the magnet allowing you to easily remove the ground and easily clean any metal that is attached to the magnet. Overall this Magnetic ground is heavy and looks to be very well built I will order some more for my plasma and other machines. Highly Recommend this product!

What a high quality piece. It’s a little bigger than expected but it’s good quality and it does holds to metal very good.

Perfect edition to my new TIG. Not always somewhere to clamp the factory “ground”. This on-off magnet makes connecting the circuit easy!

OK so I only have welded up to about 175 amps with it and it does fine as a ground clamp but the magnet isnt that strong. I have been using it on chromoly tubing doing a roll cage at about 100 amps and if I bump the ground wire its enough to pull it off the tubing. Havent needed to turn the knob at all to release it. Pretty disappointing for as much as it was.

The magnet works well, sticks upside down and sideways. It provides ground contact even on difficult cases. Perhaps a little stronger magnet would be good for some cases.

Would never go back to spring jaw type ground clamp. Easy to move around to keep ground close to arc. If welding non- ferris metal simply clamp a clean piece of steel to the work and attach magnet. Seems much better design than the older style 2pc. clamp that would corrode in the joint over time and get very hot. Make a handle out of 5in X 3/4 or 1in X 1/8in flat drilled for the lug bolt and a soldered end for the ground cable close to it. Attach cable and tape securely to the handle. Much easier to move around and no frayed cable ends.
