I’ve bought a few of these ( not these ones over the last few months ) Always hard plastic or rubber , none of them worked. I have really heavy fire doors, they did damage to the doors But not these! They are amazing! They are only £10’ish quid / €14 euros , Pay the extra few quid to get something that will last My doors are not just heavy fire doors but they have an arm at the top that makes sure it is always closed. This is great for fire safety but A nightmare opening the heavy doors all the time. I should have just spent the extra few quid and got these They look so nice the chrome , they are obviously super easy to use , they work on tiles carpet and a wood and Lino floor. One side is very sticky rubber But leaves no marks & does No damage to the door , I do not just the sticky thing for the back of the door They are very heavy so I see it coming off , but I’ve not used it, they look nice even when not in use so imo there is no need, nice touch tho They are great value for money and they never slip , it’s super easy to push it over with your foot be it with socks or slippers or whatever on and put it under the door A gentle pull with no noise & it’s locked in place , they work 100% of the time I’ve had this blow over from the windows open the doors used to slam. But not anymore they are nice and thick but thin at the start There is very few doors they will not fit under. I am writing this as I am buying 2 more after having them weeks with no problems A great buy , and if you have heavy doors fire or front or back doors these are what you want not the cheap stuff that never works I highly recommend them!

Our dogs took a liking to our previous doorstops, and found it great fun to chew them. However, these are a lot better, stronger, heavier and more durable as well as a lot better looking. So far, they have looked at them, had a sniff, but know when they are beaten. It's a win, win from me and well worth the extra money.

Brilliant doorstops. Heavy duty, sturdy and don't travel, even on slippy floors. Have now bought three packs for my house and for relatives. Work when all others have failed.

These are certainly good quality but the gap between door and floor needs to be about 1 cm to enable the wedge to get under and be effective. Less than .5cm gap and it will not be able to function.

These are great for extra security and keeping pesky doors open or closed. They are heavy (which makes them sturdy), look really nice, and seem to fit different sized doors. Might be more expensive than other choices but I think they are worth it.

In general, you would think any door wedge does the work. Well apparently not always the case. Long story, short. I think a wooden more narrower door wedge does that work. Moving on, this door wedge works, but there is a catch. You really have to know how to use it. You have to really squeeze the top grip onto door bottom gap and push towards to the door to close. The gap below my door is around 2-3cm. The flooring I have in the room I am using it for is laminate wood flooring. Simple laminate flooring you see in many common houses/rooms. So yes, it works, but inconvienence to use if you are wanting to attempt it in one-go. In order to test if it works, you try to open the door from within or ask someone else to try to open it. If it doesn't work for you, and you don't have the right amount of gap underneath, grip under the bottom door, this item may cause you a lot of trial and errors to get it right. The nice thing is I was provided a double sided sticker, so I used that underneath the wedge to stop it from sliding the laminate flooring. But it's temporary. Looking back, its very high quality and sturdy wedge, but for my situation, it didn't work as well as I expected. Hence for now, I am going to give it 3 stars. I do believe it may work on different situation such as marble flooring and a bigger gap underneath. The product itself is very high quality and build, but unfortunately on this occasion, it's trial and error for me to get it working. I've used plastic door wedge before, and didn't work, so I'm going to go for wooden door wedge for my situation only.
