Better than the Tactile Pro
I'm giving this 5 stars because I think this is one of the finer *new* keyboards you will find on the marketplace today and I think it's a superior keyboard to the Matias Tactile Pro 4 (I own both and use them on a daily basis). That being said if I were to compare it to it's distant relative, the AEK II, I would have to knock it down to 4 or even 3 stars, but they honestly just don't make them like they used to, so it's not a very fair comparison. That being said, I have to hand it to Matias for keeping the Alps key switch design alive. Thank you Matias!!!!The Quiet Pro employs Matias' quiet click switches which are a distantly reminiscent of the old Alps SKCM Cream dampened switches, only with less tactility and they aren't as refined. Matias switches are much quieter than their Alps cousins. The Alps Cream switches were also the "complicated" design which gives them an advantage in terms of overall smoothness. I also happen to own an old Apple AEK II and recently unboxed it to compare to the Matias to refresh my memory.Pros:The Quiet Pro is extremely quiet and very work friendly--it actually makes less noise than most rubber dome keyboards in my office. The lack of auditory feedback, coupled with the tactility of the key switches is a little odd ad first but it really grew on me after a while. I really appreciate how Matias lasered all of the keys with alternate characters and legends. I also appreciate the additional function keys. It goes up to F18. There are also the typical Apple media and system keys mapped out on the function keys. Also, as a nod to the old AEKs, they included the equals sign in the num pad which is very useful when using Excel. The build quality overall is very good. There seems to be a sturdy metal mounting plate and height-adjusting feet are sturdy and made of thick plastic. Also, while the case looks to be a little on the hollow/flimsy side, it's structurally sound and doesn't rattle or flex. The 3 USB ports are also a really great feature. I like the black key caps, which don't show dirt and probably won't yellow over time like white ABS plastics will. Lastly I kind of appreciate how Matias omitted any branding or logo on the board except for the model sticker on the bottom.Cons:The keycaps could be a little thicker. They're thin ABS and don't feel very substantial. A little more money there would absolutely go a long way toward the typing experience. Additionally, the case plastic could be a little thicker and more substantial. I think it would also be better if Matias used a detachable USB cord, rather than one that is hard wired to the pcb. The Caps Lock light is a little dim and is sometimes hard to see when in a brightly lit office environment, but that's more a limitation of the Alps switch design since the light has to travel through the clear body of the key switch, and then through the clear window of the key cap. I also have to say that while I'm writing about this as a 'con' the lock light design is a cool nod to the old Alps boards so it's appreciated.Overall, if you do a lot of typing and work in an environment around others, I would highly recommend this keyboard. It's a delight to type on, your fingers won't feel any fatigue, and the unique tactility, and quietness honestly has grown on me the more I've used it. I also think it's one of the best keyboards you can buy for under $200.

Best Keyboard Ever & Highly Responsive Company
This by far the best keyboard I've ever found. I never liked the official Mac keyboard with its slim profile and keys that don't move. This keyboard has a very satisfying "feel" with keys that depress just like an old mechanical keyboard. However, there is no noise or clicking of any sort. Just what you'd expect from its name, Quiet Pro Keyboard. The company is very responsive and does answer the phone. I have two of these keyboards. On the old one, the space key stopped working. The company explained that it was due to the key having lost its electrical connection. They sent me an email showing exactly how to take the keyboard apart, even explaining how to make a key remover from paper clips. They sold me replacement key contacts, eight of them for just a few dollars. I was able to repair that old keyboard and now have it as a back up to the new one. Both work great.

Unadvertised detachable cable -- 5 stars for the old style
I bought this keyboard several years ago and have loved it! I work around town at different locations and prefer to take it with me everywhere I am working. It feels great, is client friendly while typing, and travels very well.In November 2018, I lost my house (and most of my stuff, including all work tools) to a disastrous fire here in southern California. As I got my affairs back in order, I decided to reorder the same Quietpro Keyboard for MAC that I had loved since .. 2013 or so. Checked out the website and everything looked exactly the same. So I ordered it.To my surprise, I found that they had changed from the affixed cable I knew and loved to a detachable cheap-feeling cable with no warning. Sure, it came with 2 of them (because they're less quality, I suppose,) but when I have a high end client breathing down my neck, the last possible thing I should be thinking or worrying about is my keyboard. There was no mention on the website at all, and in fact, the box it comes in has the affixed cable picture. This shouldn't be a big deal, and is probably a pro for most people, but, because I'm all over town frequently, I'm very concerned with how often the cable will be detached and stored to move in my bag.I contacted Matias, and they said they were going to update their website with the information, and I could return it if I need. Cameron, the person I was corresponding with was nice, and a good face for their company.I would have looked elsewhere for a new keyboard had I known, and I probably will continue, but I doubt I will find the quality that I expect. Kind of sad, but I guess a sign of the times.

Broken after 5 months of use...
Got mine on July 1st of this year, and it's now doubling-up keys. Based on the reviews from others it's not uncommon. Otherwise I liked the feel of the keys, and it satisfied the quiet requirement. I'm still waiting on someone to create a quiet, mechanical ergonomic keyboard.Update: 2/11/2017 A friend of mine suggested I run it through the dishwasher to fix the problem, which I did. Remarkably, it seemed to have resolved the problem. Unfortunately I already switched to a Microsoft Natural Keyboard on the Mac I was using this on, and I'm now used to that keyboard layout and have no desire to switch back to this.

Try it before committing
I bought this keyboard for its mechanical keys. The performance of these keys is disappointing: not as crisp as I hoped, the feel is not consistent across all keys, some keys actually feel mushy. A few days after I received this keyboard I knew it was not the one for me; I asked the retailer for an exchange for another Matias mechanical keyboard of the same price that has a different key design. The retailer refused, citing its return policy.

Excellent Mac keyboard
I’be been using this as my main keyboard for about five years now. Works great! Some of the lettering on the more-used keys (S, command, .) has started to fade, but otherwise it is all that I wanted! I like the little symbols on the keys: it looks more cluttered, but they are useful. Perhaps if they were grey it would be better.
