Unimpressive compared to previous model.
Relatively poor video compression to their other model. It doesnt get as much time on a 32 gb card and it cannot handle a 64 gig card. Proprietary mount clip means you can only use their suction cup thing and if it breaks you are finished, no more car cam.I like the magnetic mount to the sticky pad, but I dont like the sticky pad. You can only place it once and if the glue ever wears off, you need to use your own glue and who knows what kind of damage that could leave.Menu system is clunky to nagivate because of the new button arrangement. Instead of a 4 way control in front of you, its a 2 way control with confusing buttons and they are on the side. Hard to change settings.Did not have all the resolution/FPS options that the previous model had. Low light gain is pitiful. Theres a big lens sticking out from the body but no way to adjust zoom. Autofocus is meh, but most of the time you will wanna see whats right in front of your car, so this isnt a big deal.Image quality is excellent. Nice big screen makes it easy to review files locally. I had no issue mounting the device as a USB mass storage under Windows 7, its simple Plug N Play.I will be returning this.

It works.
I have this camera installed in front of the rear view mirror on the windshield on my Mazdaspeed 6.Wide angle:The wide angle can actually catch everything from the bottom left corner of the windshield all the way to the bottom right corner of the windshield. It's definitely wide enough.Quality:It's not as clear and crisp as a Hero but it's definitely clear enough as a dash cam. It's able to show license plates clearly. On the other hand, you might not able to catch the license plate at night but it's already the best out of the bunch.Audio:It's no Bose but it's able to catch everything. It's enough for anyone to review it for insurance purposes.Functionality:It records video and audio. And that's that. It is car outlet powered. You can either set it to turn off immediately after the car's off, or let it run 10-seconds after the car's off. It records on my 32GB Micro SD card just fine. This dash cam comes with a double sided tape mount instead of a suction mount. So you better make sure of the location before mounting it. The dash cam is removable from the mount, attached by magnet. So you can easily remove the cam for whatever reason and attach it back in the original position without re-adjusting it.

its pretty compact and hides really well behind the rear view mirror, thus causing very little obstruction to the driver's view. It captures a wide angle and can see almost the entire windscreen, so that's pretty good. However, it is not as high-def as expected - the car in front or by the side either needs to be moving really slowly or stationary before its car plate number can be captured. Otherwise, it will be too blur to capture the car plate number, which I figure, will not be too good for accidents. Furthermore, the audio (in-car) is pretty soft, but it can record if someone speaks loudly in the car. I guess you can shout out the car plate number of another car if it happens to be a hit-and-run just in case the camera is unable to capture the car plate number clearly. It has a magnetic clasp which is pretty awesome - you can just take the camera out whenever you want. However, it vibrates especially when the car is travelling at higher speeds and when it does, the video it is recording becomes very blur. It would also have been better if it was usb-charged so that a multi-usb port can be used to charge both the camera and other electronic devices. Overall, it still does what it is supposed to do, though frankly I'm a tad disappointed. Do consider these points when you read the reviews for other cameras. camera stability and video quality is very important.

Faulty....the product and the customer service
Updated Review: I no longer use this camera because everytime I turn it on it asks me for the date and time...LITERALLY EVERYTIME!!! This has become a hassle and god forbid I ever do get in a car accident the date and time will not be correct because I refuse to set it everytime I start my car. I tried to contact carprocam and got through the first time and told them i'd like a refund. They never got back to me after that. Sent another email and they didn't respond. Poor poor customer service. I still have till December 1st until the one year warranty is through so Carprocam will be expecting a lot of emails from me until then. Get your $h!t together CarProCam!First Review: All around good camera and works very well. The quality of the video is good. MAKE SURE YOU BUY A MICRO SD CARD. No 5 Star because I have to reset it sometimes because it won't turn on. Also watch out for the fuzz if you get this cam (or any car camera), been getting hassled more often now that I have a cam in my car. They told me I can't have a "screen" in front of the drivers seat, but mad ppl have GPS on their windshields now and cops have actual computers in front of their drivers seat! So don't worry.

YouTube Video of the camera in action - day\night.
For the price, you really can't go wrong. Some of the troubles I see people having seem to be related to not reading the directions. You must fully charge this unit before use. I used a wall USB charger, not a computer and let it charge overnight. If you don't, you will get some weird error messages and the camera will appear to be defective. I did a day and night test and posted the video to YouTube. The first minute is day, and second minute is night. The camera produces a slightly better image then what you see in my YouTube video. No issues reading street signs and clearly identifying vehicles. I wasn't able to make out LP in moving traffic, which I didn't expect to be able to do. I think that's a tall request for an 80 dollar camera.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E54773xlxkw&feature=youtu.beHope this helps.
