I'm a Pro, these pumps are unreliable
I have been installing these pumps for a couple of years, and this week a third one in 15 months has failed at outset. This is very inconvenient and also distressing for our customers. The latest case showed error message 5 'Impeller Blocked'. It was not blocked at all, it was in pristine fresh hose water and simply would not turn.To make matters worse, the supplier want us to remove it from a fully rocked-in pond which is a big task, in order to return it for 'consideration' of a refund. We don't have time for this and so had no choice but to cut the power cable to get the pump out quickly (it was already getting dark). In conclusion the reliability rate is poor. I have 2 in my own pond which have been fine, but thats not the point; it is unacceptable for a manufacturer to have this high a fail rate.

Adequate pump
Very adequate for a small pond, seems to be pumping nicely

Good PUMP
Excellent pump for our new pond
User
Perfect performance
What can I say, this pump is working faultlessly, unlike my other which isn't an evolution aqua pump. I only wish I'd bought two of these and not opted for one slightly cheaper. Looks like I'll have to replace the other one quite soon and I will be buying another one of these.

Five-Star Pump — Powerful, Adjustable & Reliable!
I couldn’t be more impressed with this pump — it’s been a great addition to my aquaponics system and has performed exactly as needed. This Evolution Aqua Varipump 20000 delivers excellent value with its combination of power, flexibility, and build quality. One of the features I love most is the variable speed control — it lets me adjust the flow rate easily depending on what my system needs at a given time. The range from 0–5,280 GPH gives me full control over circulation, and I can dial in just the right flow without wasting energy. The high maximum head height also ensures strong delivery even when I’m pushing water up from higher grow beds to my fish tank. The pump is submersible and runs quietly, which is exactly what you want in a setup that runs all day. The ceramic shaft and stainless-steel fasteners give me confidence that it’s built to last, and the rubber feet help reduce vibration as it runs. Installation was straightforward, and it fits nicely in my system without taking up too much space.Overall, this pump has been dependable, powerful, and versatile — everything I was looking for in an aquaponics circulation solution. Highly recommended if you need a robust adjustable-speed pump that delivers performance and long-lasting quality!
