Well made heavy duty casters function exactly as described!
I constructed a heavy duty lathe workbench from Fir 4 x 4s and 2 x 4s plus two layers of 3/4” MDF for the top. I selected the Model 3000 Premium Workbench Casters primarily for their retractability, weight capacity of 660 lbs heavy duty construction and designed around 2.5” wide legs or greater. The Casters were easy to assemble but I would recommend assembling one first to understand the design. Included with the parts were two wrenches for tightening nuts & bolts however I also used a metric socket set as well. The Easy-Install Template is a snap to use and accurate. I used Frogtape to draw center lines and hold Template in place on the legs because the legs were finished. Since my 4 x 4 legs actually measured 3.5” sq. I was able to use the 4 corner holes. With Template in place I used a center punch to locate the holes precisely through the Template. The Wood Screws included with the Workbench Casters were a disappointment. The Phillips heads were easy to cam-out despite a new driver bit and clutch setting of the drill driver. I opted for a heavier #10 x 1.5” Drill Screw with 5/16” Hex Head and continued driving screws with nut driver bit.I found it much easier to attach the Leg Mounting Plate to the bench leg first, drive in the screws and then assemble the remaining caster parts because the 5/16”Hex Head required more space between the Pedal Bracket Assembly and Leg Mounting Plate. Your choice. The Movable Pedal of the Workbench Caster has a cam like bottom edge that exerts considerable force on the Wheel Mounting Plate when pushing down to elevate workbench. I noticed a metallic rubbing sound on one caster assembly. I applied a fine bead of white grease to the bottom edge of the Movable Pedal to lubricate that mating surface. The Model 3000 Premium Workbench Casters are well made, function exactly as designed and compliment my lathe bench. The completed workbench and lathe weigh in at 256 lbs well within the capacity of the casters. It’s possible for me to elevate the workbench and move it away from wall for cleaning.

Solid casters... Installation diagrams need improvement
These casters work great. The included tools are knuckle-busters so use your own 10mm wrenches and sockets if you have them. It will go faster anyway. There's an included template that is really useful.Instructions could be better. The pedal assembly doesn't represent the parts for this set. Be sure to position the silver part of the pedal assembly with the edges pointed up.

4.5 Stars, Good Product, Quality of Material Less Than Ideal
If I could have given 4 1/2 stars, I would have. The instructions are not quite adequate. Had to look at the photos of the product on Amazon to know which side of the bottom plate was up, as instructions were unclear. Installation was straightforward. Can be installed with accompanying tools, but I would suggest getting out your own wrenches/sockets (metric) for a slightly easier job. Not really excited by the quality of the bolts, though they seem to be holding up right now. Seem cheap. Otherwise, all good. Had to lift up on a fully loaded table to get the wheels down; my full weight (185 lbs) was not enough to do it by foot pressure alone.Overall, a good idea, and worth the money, even if they could have splurged a little more on the bolts.

Best lift and move wheel lift for table
Easy to read instructions, works great, move table easy.

Great castors
These work very well for moving my workbench around. They were easy to install and easy to use. My bench is around 300 pounds so they aren't close to maxed out but they roll very well also. They don't feel super stable to work with the wheels down, but its so easy to lift and drop with your foot I don't think its an issue at all.

Easy rolling, sturdy, and excellent casters
I have a large cement-floored barn. I had some extra kitchen/dining room tables that I wanted to use as worktables instead of letting them just sit disassembled gathering dust. But I wanted to keep the floorspace of the barn easily re-configurable since I do oil changes and other vehicle maintenance in the building and need to be able to quickly clear floor space. For the first table, I used some old, but high-quality metal-framed-with-bearing office chair casters. They work and they were free, so I am just going to keep using them. But for the second table, I ordered these. The better relative usability and suitability is clearly evident. The first table with the re-purposed casters rolls but is hesitant to move and I can’t let it down on the legs. These roll much easier, and I can let the table down on the legs for extra stability if needed.Installation was simple enough. As others have mentioned, there may be a slight learning curve with your first caster as the instructions (or rather lack thereof) are unclear. But after learning and seeing the process, it is easy enough. The included fasteners are of decent quality. I pre-drilled all the holes and none of the screws stripped out when installed with an impact driver. But I’ve had enough experience with these types of products to see that if you did not pre-drill, these would almost certainly strip out.The included “disposable wrenches” are actually of quite high quality. I had an entire workbench full of wrenches and sockets sitting 6 feet away during installation and I just kept using the included “disposable” tools. Sometimes tools like that are terrible but in this case they are excellent for this specific application. After installation, I tested both tables rolling up and onto some thin carpet. The re-purposed casters struggled. These did so easily.

poor quality fastening screws
Overall they work ok. Very poor (almost non-existent) installation instructions, but not difficult to figure out. They provide a pair of wrench type things for tightening the included nuts, but these do not account for clearance so I used my own socket wrenches (again, no problem). In driving in one of the screws, the screw either sheared or broke (photo attached). It looks like they are made from a cheap soft metal. Not a big problem, I have plenty of screws. However, this makes me wonder how well the rest of the product is constructed, and how long it is liable to last.
