I use these “driveway monitors” on three properties. At my home, I used them outside and inside the gate to alert me to visitors, but I also use them in a mountain location to be alerted to wildlife. And at my office. I’ve tried about every decent product out there over the past five or 10 years. Definitely the solar products seem to work really well and eliminate the transmitters from just randomly stopping working and you having to figure that out and then go change batteries. However, this emacros product has become my absolute favorite. Because of the Wi-Fi integration of the receiver, and solar powered transmitters. Wi-Fi integration is a great touch. Where you can control the receiver, ringtones, etc. from your phone. You can also get alerts to your phone, which is nice for me when I am away from the mountain property. All the other solar products I have used are audible only notifications from the receiver itself. That basically won’t work at all if you’re away from the receiver, or if you would like to turn the receiver tone off to not bother other people in your household. That Wi-Fi integration was a no-brainer to me, because the receiver is typically installed inside a house. But I still have not seen any other manufacturers do that yet. Some other nice things about this product is that they come pre-programmed. Transmitter to receiver. So they work out of the box. Some of the others you have to jump through some fairly poor programming that is not really user-friendly. And lastly, I did have some issues with one of my receivers after I ordered them. I gave the manufacturer a chance and reached out to them first. It took a minute, but they responded and shipped me a new product immediately. I very much appreciate that level of service. At the moment, I think these are the best on the market. And a very fair price. Cheers, Matt

I researched driveway alarm systems for days before ordering this one. We have a winding 1700’ driveway, live at the top of a small mountain with lots of trees. Set up was simple, including downloading the app and connecting with both my phone and my husband’s. It’s working as advertised, with one sensor near the bottom of the driveway, and a second one up, nearer the house. That way, if we hear just one go off, it’s likely a dear or raccoon or other critter. If both go off, seconds apart, it’s a vehicle. The receiver is plugged in and can be moved around the house, or mounted on a wall. I turn my phone to do not disturb at night, but I can hear it vibrate if one of the sensors is tripped. The receiver is in another room, with the volume turned down a bit, but I can hear it ding and announce which sensor was tripped. We’ve only had it set up for 24 hours, so I’ll be checking out battery life and other features in the coming days and weeks.

Reliable and Versatile Driveway Alarm System The eMACROS Pro 3 Driveway Alarm is a solid, reliable system that works well for monitoring driveways and outdoor spaces. The long-range capability (1/2 mile) is impressive and holds up even in more challenging terrains. Setup was straightforward, and the solar power feature ensures minimal maintenance, which I appreciate. The motion sensor is sensitive but not overly so, reducing false alarms. The phone app integration is a standout feature, allowing me to receive alerts wherever I am, which adds convenience and peace of mind. It’s also weatherproof, so I don’t worry about it during storms or extreme weather conditions. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that there can occasionally be a slight delay in notifications, but overall, this is a great product for enhancing security around your property. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable outdoor alarm system.

Bought our first eMacros system in 2019. Our property is wooded on one side and fenced on the other, so people only access our property via the driveway. We wound up buying two sensors. The first sensor is by our driveway entrance. The second sensor is further down the driveway about 100 feet. We have lots of mammals and birds that set off the sensors, but we know we don’t need to be concerned about humans unless BOTH sensors go off. The receiver is about another 300 feet down the drive in our foyer...it works perfectly. Since both sensors had stopped working, I called eMacros and communicated with Ella several times. She answered every question and concern swiftly and clearly. This is THE best customer service I have received in a long, long time! It is worth buying this system just for the customer service! I wound up buying a newer system with, again, two sensors. So nice to have the added security again.

In 2021, I purchased an earlier version of this driveway alarm system. It worked great for 5 years. The farthest sensor was 0.25 miles from my house (the receiver), through quite a few juniper trees. The closer sensor was about half that distance, also through trees. Both sensors worked flawlessly for the whole five years. Recently, the solar panel/battery system in both sensors started to fail, so I bought the current version of the alarm system as a replacement. The new system doesn't work. The new receiver doesn't get a signal from the new sensors even at a distance of 100 yards, with direct line-of-sight and no trees. Everything works fine when the sensors and receiver are in the same room, but once the sensors are placed where they need to be, there's no connection. Useless. I'm going to try to repair the old alarm set from 2021.

UPDATE 12/2025 We were having some issues with notification. Reached out to the support and within a short time had an update and a fix. Our app version was behind and we were not getting auto updates. Fast forward to an even better experience now that we are up to date. Now we can name locations and even sensors so that when an event happens it tells us which sensor was triggered. That coupled with the ability to name homes - so much better in terms of setting things up. Kudos to this company for great service, a great product and an even better app that has check all boxes for what I needed. Installed at two locations. First one has two entrances. The ability to set distinguishing tones is a nice feature. Now we know where to look. Second location surprised us that it worked as well as it does. The sensor is three telephone poles in distance and about a 75-foot change in elevation downhill to the road. Both locations have been just what we needed to alert us that we have visitors. Yes, the app is lacking clear navigation. In order to get notifications, you need to sus out the app permissions and that is a little hidden. Once I found that, I was able to do notification to two phones. Final thing: I suggested to the developer that we should be able to name the receiver. They responded and said 'working on it now'... not a full-stop item, but app feels like it needs some love. Surprised to see that email the next day. They do respond.

Set up was easy at first and worked great! Then the App on the cell phone and it just turned red and couldn't access anything. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and created a new account. Did the factory reset and then couldn't get Bluetooth and internet to access it!! Disappointed with it! I threw the box out or I would have sent it back. Very difficult trying to contact the company.

Update after 6 months. The original base unit was defective. The continuous audible messages announcing the unit connecting and disconnecting from my WiFi network was an indication that the unit was defective. After 6 months it eventually stopped working and would not connect to my network and lost connection with my phone app. After corresponding with the company they sent me a replacement base unit. This new unit is working great and has not lost a connection to my phone app or network since it was installed. I changed my review to 5 stars as the new unit is performing as expected and the customer service was excellent in quickly replacing my defective base unit. This new system has an annoying verbal message every 3-4 hours that the apps disconnects and reconnects to your cell phone app. I haven’t found a way to turn it off. I replaced the first generation system which has been great for 5 years. I only replaced it because a neighbor got the same system and I couldn’t turn off the zone they were using. This 2nd generation with mobile app control sucks. It needs some serious improvement.
