D'Addario XT Nickel Coated Electric Strings XTE0942, 09-42, 6-String

If I had the money I'd always buy these. Unlike other coated strings these feel totally natural and last a long time. Great for people like me with sweaty hands. If I can't get my hands on these then I go for the NYXL ones. These are top tier and I will never switch back to Ernie Ball. Edit: I'm now on my third pack and I'm never going back. I wish there were an option for subscribe and save like there are for the 9-42 NYXL strings but oh well. I get these about once every 3 to 4 months just for the one guitar I use these on. I like using these on my Jazzmaster. Despite it's scale length being the same as all other Fender guitars like the Strat the string still has to travel further from the bridge to peg and the high E is prone to breakage.

These 09/42 D'Addario Guitar strings are a great addition to my style of playing. The gauge is just right for those string bends on soulful leads. They stay in tune when you stretch them out. They last a long time depending how much you play and clean afterwards with a microfiber cloth. You might like a different gauge depending on how you play but these are just right for me. The price is much better than the guitar shops in town. I'll purchase again !

I recently restrung both my Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster with these, and I really appreciate the quality. You can see the polished smoothness of the unwound/strings right away, and I can definitely feel the difference while playing. I’ve put over 30 hours of playing time on each of the sets, and the tone and shine hasn’t noticeably degraded at all. The wound strings have a lot of ‘snap’ to them. I’m really pleased with these. They’re a bit more expensive than plain strings, but in my opinion, they’re worth it for their durability and tone.

Definitely last longer than the matching set of uncoated strings. I live in a salty area and I only get a few days out of the regular strings but these are going on two weeks and only barely beginning to show oxidation. These are my new go-to.

I've played D'Addario almost exclusively now since 1990. Every now and then I've tried some others like SIT, Ball, etc. I always go back. I tried the XTs just for grins, and I love them. They stay in tune better and last longer that traditional XLs. I bend a lot and change tunings quite a bit too. I use them on fixed bridge and Floyd setups. They are the best string I've used!

These are really good durable stings. I have been waiting for strings that don’t break down and lose tone from playing with my corrosive sweat. A little more than standard strings but worth it for the durability aspects.

買ったばかりで耐久性についてはまだわかりませんが、これまで使ってたElixir の nanoweb よりも柔らかめで弾きやすく、音質はよりブライトで私好みです。値段的にも Elixir に比べて安いし、1弦のみの単品販売もあるので耐久性次第ではずっと使用していこうかと思っています。 難点としては私の近所では専門の楽器店に行かないと売っていなく、値段もネット通販よりも高いので切れた時に気軽に購入できないという所ですかね。それでも注文して翌日には届いたので1日我慢する程度ですが。

I purchased the XTE0942 almost 3months ago and up to now its still going strong. I have to commend on the durability of the strings (considering the usage is more than twice on a weekly basis). No visible rust so far and the pitch of the string has a good mellow tune to it. Ideal for personal sounds or at a crowd. I would definitely but this product again. Highly recommended.

Put them on my Strat. Great sound and feel, and they stay in tune well. I’ll buy them again.

Diese Saiten haben mich echt umgehauen. Der Klang ist absolut knackig und klar – genau das, was ich bei meinen Riffs will. Egal ob ich voll in die Saiten haue oder sanft spiele, der Sound bleibt sauber und definiert. Außerdem sind sie super stimmstabil, ich muss also nicht nach jedem Song neu stimmen. Richtig angenehm! Was die Haltbarkeit angeht, bin ich auch total zufrieden. Selbst nach mehreren Proben und Jam-Sessions halten sie die Spannung und klingen wie am ersten Tag. Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Saiten suchen, die klanglich und qualitativ voll abliefern. Mein Gitarren-Alltag ist jetzt definitiv ein Level höher!

One star down because of price. 2nd star down because I think feel of NYXL is better and because these stings dont come in size 8th
