When removing the plug you pull on the body right? WRONG! If you do that the "gold" plated sockets remain in place (see photo) To ensure the heat from my soldering had not damaged the plastic in some way I tested a few straight out of the box and behold they all could have their insides pushed out reasonably easy. My original XT60 connectors are as you would expect the core was moulded into the body and fixed in place. These with so called extra insulation have the potential of being dangerous. The only good thing about them is they look good hence one star

Initially looked OK, but plastic is quite weak and when I tried to press down one of the black wire protectors the connector split. This happened twice.

Great connectorsAs other reviews say, connect to another plug before soldering wires. Use a hot iron and solder quick to stop melting the outer. Once done, the connection is solid and feels reliable

Used loads of these and very well made also like the caps that allow you to fit the plug without having to use heat shrink :)

Works well, backshell on the connector tidies things up and provides a little strain relief from the solder connection.
