Nuzest Clean Lean Protein - Vegan Pea Protein Powder Smooth Vanilla 1.1 lb

I’m really happy with this protein. The flavor is very pleasant without being overly sweet, and the texture is smooth and not grainy at all. It mixes really well, even with just water and ice. Shipping was also very fast. Definitely a great first impression!

I have been using Clean Lean Protein for over a year and I am a huge fan. I have tried many other types of protein powder and brands and am so glad I found NuZest. I was searching for a clean pea protein powder with natural ingredients for myself but also to recommend to my clients (I run a personal training business and am a nutrition coach). Whey protein is fine for some but not for myself who has a dairy intolerance. A lot of my clients feel too bloated after whey protein shakes and even hemp but this pea protein does not have that effect. I use it every day in my morning smoothie (full serving, 2 scoops) and sometimes add only one scoop to a smoothie as a snack in the afternoon. I typically blend my smoothie with ice in a blender (with some sort of leafy greens, some berries and/or 1/2 banana, chia seeds maybe some almond butter or coconut oil or avocado, a little unsweetened almond or cashew milk and water...sometimes maca powder or raw cacao powder..green tea matcha...whatever you like!) but you can add it to a shaker (they sell one on their site) and mix with water. I would assume that any power mixed with water this way might be a bit gritty but I have never drank it that way. I like thick smoothies with ice and both the chocolate and vanilla taste delicious as they are sweetened a bit with stevia. I am not a coffee or strawberry fan so I haven't tried those. The plain works well if you want to add more fruit or your own sweetener or as I use it, for baking. I have added the plain to my 4 year old's pancakes or muffins that I make and he has no clue. I always advocate getting your nutrition from whole foods first. But for someone like me who is on the go, active and eats only eggs and fish ( no meat or dairy) this works well for me as part of a healthy, balanced diet. If you feel that the price is high, compare it to other quality powders out there. I want clean with no fillers and for about $1.50/ serving, this is a good deal. The customer service is excellent as well. You can return it if you do not like the product. They also have recipes on their site.

I haven't used protein powders in quite some time because I've had mixed results from previous brands. This one was recommended by a company that focuses on women's health and acne. I've been using it now for two weeks, and I've had great results! I've had ZERO breakouts. It took some time getting used to the "vanilla" flavor, but by the end of the first week it was fine.

If you're searching for a very clean protein it's great. It doesn't really have much taste and it can be quite dry (live every vegan protein in general) but it goes well in smoothies or iced coffes

I heard about this protein powder in Instagram a year ago but was sceptical about trying it because it's so expensive for the number of servings AND because I'm not really a protein powder person. However, I wanted to try a pea protein powder for baking and I decided to get this one since people seemed to like it. I can see how the bulk and consistency of this powder would be perfect for baking, that said, I'm certainly not going to be baking with this!!! It's way too nice and way too expensive to hide in baked goods. Oats hurt my stomach and I've missed the routine of having a warm mush/pudding/porridge type thing in the morning. This protein powder mixed with a little warm water has restored to me that morning mush routine. I think people call it protein pudding but it's the same thing. This is now my breakfast cereal and it's so filling in a pleasant way, not in a bloating sensation sort of way. If you're fancy, I suppose you could add in some (almond) milk or cream or nut or Seed butter but really it's really good with just water. I haven't had it in a smoothie yet because I like it so much as a warm breakfast pudding but if you're a smoothie person, this will give you a super thick and creamy smoothie, I can tell from the consistency! CONS: There is a faint hint of pea odor but it's not unpleasant and I can see how if you have a really sweet tooth you may not find this super sweet. I have a moderate sweet tooth and I find this sweet enough. This powder is really too pricey, I mean I know the ingredients are high quality but still! That said, it's sooooo good, that it might become my monthly splurge!

First impressions - this was delivered to my mailbox, which it didn't actually fit in, in a padded envelope. When I opened it, the powder had spilled into the envelope and was coating the container. The plastic seal on the lid was intact, but the paper seal under the lid was open, which is how it spilled. Quite the mess. I wanted a protein powder for my oatmeal, to prevent the mid-morning jitters, but this isn't it. It mixed well enough with water, but my oatmeal tasted like vanilla pudding with too much vanilla in it. This was with two scoops in 1 1/2 cups cooked oatmeal. I expect if you wanted a protein vanilla shake, this might be good, but I can't imagine any food other than desserts that you could mix it in to increase the protein content. The flavor is way too strong. It has a decent consistency (pudding) and a strong vanilla smell which is not unpleasant Honestly, it could be worse, but I won't be using the rest of it. And they spam your email incessantly after purchase. And it's not returnable.

I've been on the search for a vegan protein powder that I like for a long time. I've tried most of the name brand ones (vega, garden of life, jarrow, etc) and I've never been able to stick with them for very long. I like to drink a protein shake before bed or after a workout and I don't want it to be high calories. With most of the supplements I've used in the past, I would have to add lots of extras to get the taste ok and then the calories would be too high for my wants and needs. With Nuzest chocolate, it's different. I only have to add unsweetened almond milk and cocoa powder and I'm set. It's pretty delicious, not very sweet and since there is no stevia, no gross aftertaste. That being said, I add 2 cups of almond milk to 1 serving of protein powder. I've found any less than that and it's too thick and the texture is hard to handle. Also, without adding cocoa powder it doesn't have enough of a chocolate taste for me, but I do have a love for dark chocolate, so there is that. Lastly, I really do recommend this protein powder if you've been looking for a stevia free vegan powder that tastes decent with add ins. Sadly though, it's too expensive for me to justify buying it very often. I understand why the price is so high, it really is a great quality protein, easily dissolved, no bloating, decent taste, but I wish there was a way it could be a bit more affordable.

I have had this twice already and enjoy the taste. It blends well and does not clump. It also keeps me full until my next meal.
