A Great Deal and an honest review
The item was as described and the delivery was very fast. I've been using the new batteries for several weeks now so I feel I can write an accurate and fair review. Threre are 2 minor draw backs with these batteries. First and foremost an error message will pop up after about 30 seconds from when you turn the camera on. Since these are not OEM batteries just make sure to turn your camera on a minute or so BEFORE you think you may want to record. This will allow time for the error message to pop up and be clreared before you need to shoot. All you have to do to get past this error is to hit the OK when it asks if you want to continue. The only other draw back is the battery meter does not work to let you know how charged the battery is. Other than that everything works great. I've been using them outside in extreme cold (yesterday it was 4 degrees F at Wildcat Mt. in NH) to video my daughter as she ski races. The OEM battery didn't have a very good life span and would maybe make it through her first run before it died in the cold. I've been able to use one battery to make it through the day of recording. Granted, it's probably only about 15 minutes of record time on any given day but taking into acount the temperature it does WAY better than the OEM that came with the cameral. Since there are two batteries included I always keep the extra charged and in a warm pocket in the event I need to swap out while on the hill. The charger that comes with it also works with the OEM battery. All in all, I think it's agreat deal with just the minor non-OEM issues noted above.

Original batteries and charger being way to pricy for my taste, I decided to buy this product for my new HD Canon HF M500 camcorder. For now I only tested one battery (charged both) and it worked correctly having a lifespan comparable to my original battery. The only drawback is that the camcorder can't read the battery remaing time but it does warn me when the battery it is almost empty. Given the price, I'm satisfied of my purchase for now...

Wasabi batteries and charger
I bought one set a few months ago and like the way they fit the camera and how long they last. I haven't timed them, sorry, but they seem to last a reasonable amount of time to me and I tend to be a little nit pickey. It takes around 4 hours to fully recharge after depletion. What can I say? - I bought one set a few months ago and because I liked them I bought another set because I want to be able to shoot for more than a few hours while taking walks in the woods before having to re-charge. The chargers are compact. The A.C. connetors retract and make the chargers pack compactly and there won't be metal sticking into things beside the chargers. There's a European adapter included with each set and although I'll probably never need them its a nice touch to have them. I really appreciate the 12v automobile charger because I'm usually not too far from my vehicle. When a battery is depleted the charger shows orange, yellow or red and when fully charged the same indicator turns to green. The bayyery doesn't give the camera screen a running count of battery life left, but the camera still tells me when its time to recharge. You'll have only a few minutes left to record when the notification comes up, so act accordingly. But the main thing to me is the camera will NOT just stop recording with no notice. You do have to keep your eyes on the on screen battery life indicator. Would I buy another set? YEP, sure would.

Top Notch Product
You'd think that only the original manufacturer would make good batteries for their cameras, but in the case of Wasabi, they make batteries just as good as Canon's... but at a mere fraction of the price. It truly makes me wonder why anyone would pay $60 for a single battery when you can get one for almost a tenth of that. (I say that because you get 2 batteries, plus an AC charger, plus a car charger adapter for less than $25.) I've only been using this for a few weeks now, but these batteries last just as long, take the same time to charge, and provide excellent results. And the big plus is that the Wasabi charger can charge the Canon battery as well, which makes it even more convenient. I simply stick the charger into my camera case, put in the 2 extra batteries, and because it will charge all 3, I'm all set without having to bring anything else. Highly recommended.

First battery failed in two weeks. . .
As another reviewer ( Meg Z.) reported, unfortunately after I ordered the product :-(, the battery contact quality is the issue. The connectors in the battery are poorly designed (thin and weak) and it appears that it was the too wide pins in the charger that damaged the battery connectors. The connecting pins in the camera are better made with round edges and worked OK until the battery was inserted in the Wasabi charger the second time. Even with extreme care working the battery into place on the charger those fatter connector pins must have stressed and eventually bent one battery connector so it no longer connects in either the charger or the camera. Too bad, the cell life seemed fine. I'll update the review if I hear back from the seller.

It's nice to have back up batteries
It's nice to have back up batteries, but they have their drawbacks. 1) They fit my camera but are very big & bulky compared to the battery that came with my camera. 2) The batteries don't really sync with the camera so you have no idea how much battery life there is left. I usually pre-charge them before an event, and with 2 back-up batteries I'm usually good to go. 3) The part that bugs me the most, when the batteries are in your camera & you turn it on, it takes several seconds to load & then a notice pops up on the screen "the battery doesn't sync with this camera, do you still want to continue?" You say yes, then you can push record. It does this EVERY time you turn the camera on. Sometimes I want to turn my camera on quickly to record something. Well chances are if you are seeing a jet suddenly fly by or your baby is taking their 1st steps, with these batteries you will miss those precious seconds of recording! But that may not be with all cameras. My husband bought this Canon Vixia HF R300 without checking the reviews. If I would have checked the reviews 1st, I never would have bought the camera because of the bad battery life reviews. Hence why I had to purchase this product. So these batteries are better than nothing!! .... I like that it comes with the car charger! It is handy for charging in the car on road trips!

Mixed feelings
I ordered this product for my Canon camera. Everything was as described. Only issues were that both batteries will not communicate with camera so there is no way to see the battery life. I can understand this since it is not a Canon product. One battery would not stay connected to the camera causing the camera to shut off, but the other battery stays in place. The charging dock has given me no issues. Perhaps I just got one bad battery.

Great Value, Why Pay More?
I bought these batteries and charger for my new Canon Vixia HF R400 so as to have the extra shooting time that these batteries provide. This battery and the battery that came with the camcorder are the same height and width, but the Wasabi extended battery is 5/16" thicker. The battery that came with camera is 1", the Wasabi battery is 1 5/16". The extra power is in the additional 5/16 of battery. As far as I can tell, there are only 3 differences between the Wasabi battery and the Canon battery. (1) The camera does not indicate battery time remaining and (2)each time you start the camera you are told the camera cannot communicate with the battery pack and are asked if you want to continue using this battery back. Minor annoyances, but ones I can easily live with given the huge difference in price between the Canon extended battery and the Wasabi. The third difference is that you must charge the Wasabi batteries in the charger, not in the camera like you can with the Canon batteries. But I prefer that, so consider this difference a plus. You can also charge Canon batteries in this charger. Included with the batteries is some information regarding them. Noted was that batteries normally lose power over time when in storage, so the user is advised that it would be wise to top up the charge the day or day before you plan to use the camera. This is not unique to these batteries. I must do the same with an entirely different battery that I use in my Canon SX280.

Great Quality & Great Value
I am one hundred percent satisfied with this battery kit. I have a Canon Vixia R42 HD camcorder. It came with a standart BP-718 battery pack which lasts 102 minutes. I tried the Wasabi Power Battery Kit with my Canon camcorder. It lasted two full hours non-stop. The charger charged the battery pack in less than two hours. There is a led indicator. When charging the led is red. When the charging is complete, the led turns green. Neither the charger not the battery pack overheats during charging. The battery pack does not overheat when using with the camera, either. The quality of the material used in the charger and the battery packs is more than satisfactory. On the label of the battery pack says the cells are from Japon although the packs are manufactured in China. Overall I highly recommend this kit anyone who needs extra power for their compatible camcorders.

Amazing price, works very well , but no indicator on battery for low power.
This kit works very well , charger does good job quickly. but there is no way to figure out charge level in battery packs. I though there would be a led indicator (like there is on just about everything nowadays) but no. This would be a 3 star review but price of the kit is well worth a reward for a 4th. if there was just a simple red led that lights up when at 10 or 15 % charge it would be a 5 star product.

I highly recommend the Wasabi Battery & Charger Kit.. The Batteries hold their Charge & No issues with Wasabi.
I highly recommend the Wasabi Battery & Charger Kit... I purchased 4 Batteries & 2 Chargers.. The Price is amazing considering one Canon OEM Battery cost $149.99 at the Canon online Store... I paid less then that price for the 4 Batteries & 2 Chargers... The Batteries hold their Charge & No issues with Wasabi... I was at one point concerned with purchasing Non-OEM batteries until I bought Wasabi... Very reliable Batteries.. Very good Quality...
