Is this filter made in the usa? the amazon description says it's made in the usa but so did the fram tg9972 and it is made in china.

The box I have says Made in USA. It is of better quality than most, but not as good as the TRD PTR43-00082 which is also Made in USA. Both are for the same engines.

Fifteen thousand miles between oil changes! That's the reason it is risky too a degree too buy a used vehicle... That would not necessarily show up on a carfax. I like this filter though. I looked at my old one pretty close after my last oil change and it definitely traps the dirt. I tried to tear it apart and that was not an easy task. I change my synthetic oil in my 2014 Camry every 5000 miles. The reason I use quality filter like this one is when I'm driving my car up the grapevine on a 100dg day I don't want to have to wonder how things are holding up.

It should I have the same engine in my 2011 Sienna XLE. To be sure double check the owners manual. That's what I did when I first purchased the vehicle. Good luck.
