Worked great, sturdy
Seems like a pro level tool to me. Strong steel. I used it to pull the steering wheel of a 97 Chevy. No way it would have come off without the puller. Has several different bolts. Instructions would have been nice but its straight-forward to use.

Great tool at a good price
Tool functioned perfectly. Comes with two sizes of adapters for the steering shaft. The part of the tool that pushes on the lock plate seems pretty hefty and should last a long time. I struggled for 15 minutes to replace the lock plate in an old pickup before I ordered the tool, it took longer to get the tool out of the packaging than it took to replace the lockplate and snap ring. If you ever need to work on a steering column you need this tool, saves much frustration!

Great tool!
Tool is made very well. Although not designed for this, but works excellent for removing the drive gear from the injection pump on Cummins 5.6 and 6.7.

Great tool when needed
Had to deal with a 1988 Chevy steering wheel - boy, did this make the job a snap.Normally would've taken 3 people to do the job:1) To push the steering lock plate down2) To pull the steering shaft3) To install the lock ringAlthough I was wary that the 1/2" nut was too small for it's purpose, it easily was able to thread down onto the tool shaft against the huge spring (which looked like a lifter spring).I don't know what the metric collar is used for, but the SAE one covers GM from 60's to 90's - that's a huge spread!

Worked as described.
I used this as a puller for a riding lawnmower transmission pulley and it worked .

“A must to remove a steering column adapter!”
Finally got my moneys worth!Worked really nicely on my 70’s Chevy van tilt conversion. My hub adapter shaft bore was to small. Needless to say I got the hub adapter stuck on there good!It wasn’t seated down far enough. So, I had to take it off. No way could I get it off without chipping my new paint job.Looked online and found this little “GEM!”Popped right off! The tool itself is pretty heavy duty! 3/4” thick with thick washers. The screws were trash! Went grade 8.The closest points from center to center of bolts are 1 1/8” without the washersWith the washers are 1 3/8”Then the widest point with the washers aid 3”Glad I waited for this tool!Larry

Not bad for the price
I bought this because some %#$@ tried to steal my buddy's truck and smashed up the lock cylinder. Paying someone to replace it costs a few hundred bucks and I knew we could do it cheaper. I ordered both a new lock and cylinder set and this tool from Amazon and we did the job ourselves. The kit worked quite well and it seems to be of decent quality. Can verify this works great on GMT-400 series trucks and should also work well on similar era GM products.
