A Great Budget Fork Upgrade for an Inexpensive E-Bike I’m using this on a lower-cost e-bike, and in that context it makes a lot of sense. If you have an inexpensive e-bike with a basic front fork that feels harsh, heavy, or underwhelming, this can be a very worthwhile upgrade that improves the ride without costing a fortune. What I like most is how much it changes the overall feel of the bike. A cheaper e-bike often gets the job done, but the front suspension can be one of the weaker parts of the setup. Swapping to this fork can make the front end feel smoother and more controlled over cracks, rough pavement, curb transitions, and light trail sections. That matters even more on an e-bike, since the extra speed and weight can make a rough front end feel more noticeable. Another big plus is value. For the price, this gives you an air suspension fork with adjustability, a cleaner look, and a more refined feel than many stock forks found on budget bikes. It also helps modernize the bike a bit visually. Once installed, it looks like a real upgrade instead of just a replacement part. I also like that it seems best suited for exactly the kind of riding many inexpensive e-bikes actually do: neighborhood streets, bike paths, commuting, park trails, and general recreational riding. For that use, it seems to absorb chatter and bumps well enough to make the bike more enjoyable. It is not about turning a budget e-bike into a high-end full-suspension machine, but it can absolutely make everyday riding feel better. The main thing to keep in mind is that this is still a budget fork. I would not treat it like a premium fork built for aggressive downhill riding, repeated hard hits, or serious mountain bike abuse. It feels more like a comfort and control upgrade than a hardcore performance part. Also, compatibility is critical on something like this. Before buying, you really need to verify wheel size, steerer type, axle spacing, brake setup, and overall fit with your e-bike frame. Overall, for upgrading an inexpensive e-bike, I think this is a smart purchase. It hits that sweet spot where the cost feels reasonable, but the improvement in ride comfort can still be noticeable. Bottom line: A very good value upgrade for a budget e-bike that can make the ride smoother, more controlled, and more enjoyable, as long as you confirm compatibility and keep expectations in line with the price.

I built a sweet budget hardtail to take my dog on local trails. This fork works well for our style of riding ie single track flow track and mild climbing and descending. The fork performs well with dampening. If you think you're buying a rock shock or fox 36 clone then you are sadly delusional. The fork has some flex to it but overall its sturdy and a great value if you can find it used on Amazon marketplace. Scored these for $80 in like new condition. Have realistic expectations.

I just wanted to start by saying for the cost, you receive a decent product. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal. PROS: * Very affordable option if you're building a budget bike. * Easy to install. * Compression and rebound were decent when I was bouncing the bike while riding. * At 185lbs, riding off the 6" curb caused the shock to compress about 1.5". * Paint job is good quality and the shock looks nice. CONS: * No extra accessories or manual with warranty information in the packaging, just a fork. * One of two shocks I received had some extra metal at the bottom on the steerer tube where the crown race sits. The issue must have occurred when the steerer tubed was pressed. I had to use a file to shave it down in order to install the crown race properly, which cased me to slightly scratch the paint. This is poor quality control from the manufacturer. * The manufacturer placed some tape over the brake adapters and painted over, which made the holes not look visible/tapped. I had a moment of anger looking at them until I pressed a small allen key through. This shows a lack of detail when preparing the forks. * When compressing the fork down a couple inches, I did notice a small amount of grease on the upper tube assembly. This does concern me that the manufacturer either overfilled the fork with grease or the seals are not great. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the fork considering how cheap it is. This by no means deserves a 5 star rating considering the troubles I ran into; however, from a cost vs. benefit perspective, I would rank this product high. In the end, you get what you pay for, a low price shock for basic riding. It would be wrong to compare the product to a Fox or Rockshock branded fork, which I own as well. If you decide on purchasing this fork, I would recommend the 2 year warranty in case there's a problem down the road. I can only provide my first impression at this point and plan to see in the upcoming months if the fork will endure some XC abuse. If the shock fails after a few rides, the rating will go down to 1 star.

These cheap forks are surprisingly awesome! I ride a 2009 GT Avalanche 2.0 26er triple triangle and the old (100mm) shocks blew out. I wanted something that had more travel but didn’t want to spend a fortune on a dh fork that supported a 26” wheel (not many makers anymore). I am so glad I found these! They had that extra travel I was searching for! They accept a QD axle, they are fully adjustable for air pressure, they look great, the install was easy and they appear to be holding up great to the abuse! I ride some pretty rocky technical trails and they are keeping up just fine! Do not be scared to buy these!

WOW, I’m impressed with the value of this fork. It came with a star nut and bottom bearing race. Haven’t ridden the bike yet but can’t wait to try it out. Finish is good and feels hefty enough to take a lot of punishment. Very easy to adjust the manual lookout.

This fork has an adjustble suspension. A less expensive product but does a great work. It looks good and the quality built is in the midrange.

Initially seemed like a good fork for the money. After less than a year of pretty casual mountain biking on x-country trails the upper bushings began to wear, leaving a sticky residue on the fork legs that actually started removing the coating from the metal. I should have spent just a little more for a RockShox or other reliable brand. Not a reliable product if you actually intend to go mountain biking.

I rode about 50 miles or so on the forks, last 20 miles on gravel and its been holding together. Dimensions are as advertised. The orange and black looks really good. You may need to buy additional parts and accessories. It's mentioned in the Q&A, but to re-emphasize, it does not come with the star nut that is necessary to hold every thing together. The real quirk is the valve to add air pressure to the shocks. It's very short and inset into one of the pistons. Pros: It will never snap off because it is very protected in case your bike falls. Cons: Most bike pump connectors for floor and hand air pumps are too big or don't reach far down enough. The pump nozzle needs to be smaller than 2cm wide and needs to be longer than 1.5cm long before it will connect well to the valve. You can buy a schrader valve extension hose for pumps that can help.

Sturdy, looks great and works really well. Seriously worth the money.

I used this fork to revive a worn-out 26" wheeled mountain bike that had a good frame and wheels but not much else worth keeping. The fork is great, offering a good balance of cushioning and control. I've ridden it on cross-country trails and some singletrack and it has done a great job of absorbing bumps while keeping that front wheel on the ground. It also adds a bit of flash to a bike that was pretty dull-looking before! The only negative I have noticed a bit more oil on the fork uppers than I've seen on some other forks, so I am keeping an eye on the fork seals.

Product arrived in reasonable time and was exactly as described. The forks fitted readily and looked smart on the bike. It is easy to adjust the preload with a shock pump and the lockout works well. They move through their stroke smoothly, but lack rebound damping on all but the firmest couple of settings.

Just a heads up to seller, package came damaged the box had a small hole worn thru it, as well as both boxes were dented in few spots. Product has a small scratch, which will not effect product I’m sure. And the plastic inserts at button of forks for protection during shipment were broke, AGAIN did. Not affect product. On the bright side product installed everything is straight and okay, also the scratch was in a less obvious spot and I think the shocks made it out alive lol. Bonus water bottle and star but was added so that was awesome Of Bolany.
