Works on sun damaged and aging skin, especially together with derma roller
(update Sept 2015: continue to use this and have tried competitor products, it works and I am quite old! but skin looking good!) Reputable dermatologists say there are only a few active ingredients out there that are proven to do anything beneficial for the skin besides moisturize it (which Crisco or vaseline could do too!) , no matter what hype the cosmetic companies put out. One of those is vitamin C. (Caution: don't use a Vit C product at the same time as Retinols (Retin A or OTC Retinol products like Roc etc), or Glycolic acids, or beta acids (salicylic etc). Use the Vit C in the a.m. and the others in the PM, sometimes even that will be too irritating for some skins. At the least put a few hours between applications of acidic products!). I heard about this product first on a skin care forum I belong to, as I am a sort of hobby aesthetician and makeup artist and always looking for something to help my own aging skin. I use a derma roller (many brands and most are about the same, needle size is the key difference), and this product used in concert with it really has helped stimulate collagen (the disappearance which is what causes skin to look 'aged' , when the padding beneath the surface begins to degrade and so the skin hangs like an empty balloon). I have been using it off and on for several months, and also got some for sisters and friends. In everyone's case I have seen an improvement in skin tone, and definitely a subtle 'plumping' effect. It's not a miraculous overnight remedy, (nothing like that exists in a bottle!), but it does help over time, and you'll see some difference within a couple weeks. Also important is that the manufacturer is using a DARK glass bottle. First because Vitamin C breaks down with exposure to light, and also because if it were plastic container, the acidity would cause some leaching of plastic byproducts into the gel. The viscous feeling of this product is due to the hyaluronic acid in it. Hyaluronic acid is the same substance (but in sterile form and at a different molecular density), that is in fillers like restylane, and that also occurs naturally in the human body. It can't really penetrate below the dermis, but with the derma rolling process, I believe a little of it can make its way in, and that it aids in plumping effect. A great value and reputable supplier. The reality is these active ingredients wholesale at a minimal cost, and the big brand names are marking them up by ridiculous amounts and creating elaborate marketing campaigns and photoshopped images of 22 year old models, and many consumers fall for the hype and believe the cost is justified; and while this product isn't 'cheap', it is moderately priced compared to department store brands, and it lasts a good while as you only need a few drops each time. I also have recommended for those starting a skin improvement regimen to take a few good before and after pictures (spaced a few months apart at least, then periodically) or have a friend do so. Then you can apply 'high def' photographic effects to the before and afters shots, which will reveal the damaged skin that the naked eye can't detect, and subsequent improvement (or lack thereof!), in great (often disturbing! detail). (There are free programs online that can do this(ipiccy is one), or if you use photoshop etc, that allow you to increase detail in your skin - usually called something like 'high def', 'gritty' etc). Department store makeup counters used to have these boxes with special lights and mirror that you'd put your face in and would reveal the sun damage that is not apparent to the naked eye - using as a selling tool-- this HDR effect does the same basic thing - reveal what the naked eye can't see but which IS there! The proof was there for me that my skin was looking better, less damaged. In my case the derma roller was part of it, but this product was also key. (Trying to improve my reviews by being more specific...so do click the ''helpful'' button if you indeed feel it was)

An effective Vit C serum at a great value!
I’ve purchased this Vitamin C Serum at least a dozen times, and it’s one of the few skincare products I never want to be without. It has earned a permanent place in my daily skincare routine. The serum absorbs quickly, isn’t greasy or sticky, and layers beautifully under moisturizer and sunscreen. I appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and works well with my skin without causing irritation. My complexion looks brighter, more even, and healthier, and my skin feels smoother! What really says the most about this product is that I’ve recommended it to so many friends, and several of them are now loyal users too. If you’re looking for an effective Vitamin C serum at a great value, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

The definitive vitamin c for the masses
This is best product if you want a stable and high performing l-ascorbic acid serum for the fairest price. Used in combination with a retinoid, azelaic acid, SPF and a good moisturizer you're getting the very best anti-aging routine without breaking the bank on treatments and procedures. This serum can be drying but is never irritating and even after just a couple of uses you get the most radiant glow and even complexion. It's glass skin in one step. Not to mention the antioxidant capacity and collagen renewing benefits. It's just a very capable serum at a fraction of the price of the Skinceuticals and it will be staying in my routine for the long haul.

Love it! GOAT!
This is one of my favorite skin care products EVER... my GOAT. I use it almost daily and I have noticed such a huge change in my skin over the last few months since I started using it. My skin definitely has a glow that it didn't have before. I took off one star, not for the quality/effectiveness of the product itself, but for two other reasons: 1. The packaging (the bottle): I have found that when I press down on the pump, for some reason the product leaks out from around the seam of the bottle. I thought it was just a crazy fluke the first time, so I contacted the manufacturer and *amazing customer service incoming* they sent me another bottle, free of charge (with proof of purchase - I had purchased through Amazon). But my second bottle does the same thing, which 😕 wastes the product! 2. The smell. Honestly, I've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me anymore, but there is definitely a weird smell to this product. Overall- I LOVE this Vitamin C!

I refuse to live without it
To me, it doesn’t get any better than this. I have tried several other vitamin C products, some cheaper and some a lot more expensive, with a lower percentage of L-ascorbic acid, but for some reason, I love this one the most. It works the best, feels the best (I genuinely enjoy the moment of applying it to my face), has the best packaging, and comes at the best price. It doesn’t irritate my skin, and it stays fresh for a long time. I store it in the refrigerator as soon as it arrives, which I believe helps maintain its freshness. To be honest, I don’t feel the need to try any other brand anymore. It absorbs really well into my skin, and I love that it doesn’t contain any added fragrance. I always notice a difference in my skin when I stop using it. I also love that it comes in an opaque bottle with a pump. For the life of me, I don’t understand why so many other brands still use clear dropper bottles for vitamin C products. Although I keep both my backup bottle and the one I’m currently using in the refrigerator, I always keep a smaller size in my gym bag or take one with me when I travel. I really wish there was a 10 or 15 ml travel-size bottle available. I personally don’t like the pouches. As you can see from the picture, I refuse to live without it!

Better than Paula's Choice, The Ordinary and Derma E! Doesn't compromise skin barrier!!
I haven't written a ton of reviews but this product is worth writing one! I have tried different vitamin C products over the years and learned about this one from the Skincare subreddit and it does not disappoint! It's true it does have a bit of a smell that I'm not fond of but the results are honestly worth it. I also use Tretinoin 0.1% every other night and I alternate using this in between nights and I've seen a big difference in my skin. I also will use it in the mornings sometimes if I'm not going to be outside a ton since sunlight can degrade the efficacy of vit c. I sandwich it in between my CorsX Snail Mucin and my moisturizer before sunscreen and it really does give me a noticeable glow! It's a little watery but it absorbs quickly and the smell goes away pretty fast which is why I can get behind it. I've tried Derma E, TruSkin (NEVER AGAIN) The Ordinary, and Paula's Choice and this has by far been my favorite because of the price point and efficacy. It doesn't have as high of a concentration as other brands and does take time to work but because I also use a plethora of other serums I don't mind a lower concentration because it doesn't compromise my skin barrier. 10/10 would recommend!

3 out of 5 for now!
Giving this a 3 because the product is so thin, and it has a pump on it. Massive amount of product wasted. You'd have to literally cup the palm of your hand to put the product in which is still making me lose a ton of product! Maybe if it was a dropper method it would be better. Only been using the product for a week. Feels good on my skin, didn't cause any breakouts - so far so good. Obviously too early to review the benefits of the product. I'll come back once the bottle runs out to let you know if it made an impact on my skin.

Work well
This vitamin c serum works well on me. It is gentle and easy to absorb. Watery texture. Need to use in certain time otherwise it will turn yellow. I will keep it in refrigerator to ensure it is good.

Extremely High Quality Item
This is excellent product and great packaging. The liquid is intact and no oxidation like other similar products. Airlock tip and pump mechanism are the reason why the liquid inside is very well protected.
