BUY THIS. Dont waste your time with the others. There are the ones that bolt through where the toilet seat would. Do you have someone to do that for you? Even if you do, they get loose. Imagine if you twisted your toilet seat side to side how quickly that side would just flop around. Now imagine a handicap person is relying on a riser seat with bars pushing and twisting as they get up and down from the toilet. Enjoy retightening those every other day. They stink! Then there are the ones that you just place on the toilet seat and tight the front knob. Those are not too bad, but they too just naturally move around alot on the smooth toilet surface. Eventually, they just break as it's just plastic constantly being stressed. Trust me when I say they feel sketchy. So the one you are looking at here, it great. It's very stable and quick to put together. No tools necessary. About 2 minutes and you are done. The added bonus is they include a bucket that allows you to just have a bed side toilet for those that can barely get around or need a good bit of assistance to use the bathroom. Similar to what would be provided at a nursing home. Over the toilet, for this unit to work well you must take the toilet seat off for it to sit far enough back. Then you wont need the other attachment that directs waste product into the toilet. It's been in use for use for a month without fail. So do keep that in mind that other members of the family will need to use this seat. It's also worth mentioning that the seat is padded. It's not too soft, not too firm. Appears to be made of of a fairly decent quality material that is easy to wipe down with clorox wipes. Stability wise, this is made essentially like a walker with a toilet seat. So it's very sturdy. Please trust me when I say this....if you need a toilet riser, then you need to spend the little bit extra to do it right and get this unit. There is absolutely no reason to get anything else after having tried 3 different things from cheap to more expensive.

I recently had major emergency surgery with multiple complications including a 40# weight loss and a 6 week hospital stay (5 weeks in ICU) with 97% of my time in bed. Due to COVID I was unable to walk in the hospital to build my strength and discharged home as soon as I could walk to the bathroom. That being said that my toilet seat is much lower than the hospital. My first trip to the bathroom I was surprised to see that I was unable to stand up from the toilet unassisted. I assess my home needs at this point looking at it from my weakened state. I determined that my weakness put me at higher risk for falls or injuries and decided to purchase equipment to assist me. Pros: 1) Product arrived quickly in 1.5 days on a weekend - wow! 2) It was packaged well and visually clean with blue cushion - Nice and soft! 3) Very easy assembly under 5 minutes the adjusted for my height. - Very quick! 4) Very strong and light weight - I can lift it with my restrictions on lifting while I recover! 5) Price is very good for quality. - Durable Medical Equipment can be very expensive and when purchasing several items it can break the bank. This product feels the need for 3 items needed with the price of one - Money in the bank! This product is amazing, I easily went to the bathroom unassisted. I then moved the seat to my shower and took my first unassisted bath in 7 weeks. I have not had a need to use the bedside commode but I am sure I will at some point as my husband and I are not spring chickens. CONS: NONE SEEN I am very happy with my purchase and will recommend it to anyone with similar needs as well al looking to this manufacturer for future purchases.

Ok, so this thing is pretty much everything you could ever want in a padded seat. I have an elongated toilet, and no issues. I had a regular padded seat on there for years and took it off and presto! I've lately been having increased hip and knee stiffness that's steadily gotten more pronounced since 2000 at age twelve. I started using a padded seat at age 24 (and I'm not a horribly heavy person, at the time I was just over 150.) WIth COVID however, post, um, pounds had me a bit concerned. (Weight went up to 170 during lockdown) But again that wasn't a concern, it was more, the hip and knee issues. Particularly the hips and very low back. This bad boy does the job! Having done research on the inventor of the original padded toilet seat in 1955, I really feel like THIS is what he was envisioning then, but you know, hindsight is always 20/20. EXTREMELY thick padding. No tearing, I already can tell there will be no flattening after a month, and oh populace, the HANDLES!! The last few weeks before I bought this, I was becoming a bit fearful I'd lose my balance when trying to sit. No sweat now. I even tried scooting back and forth and changing hip weight distribution, just to be sure, and um, this thing passed the test. Sure, I'll have to put the regular seat back on when people come over, but it's an easy clean n change one, so that's not an issue. The only issue I see is um, doing number one. I'm afraid I'd pee on the floor if I'm not careful. But besides that being more of an autonomic issue, I'm very pleased with it. Well worth the price and probably won't have to replace it for quite awhile!

This is based on only one use, but I like it already. It's so much easier to stand up with the handles and the raised seat is large enough and comfortable. I don't know yet about cleaning- the funnel is intended to keep the toilet and floor clean but I don't know if that will require extra cleaning itself. The unit seems to be sturdy and well made and fits in a relatively narrow space; it seems to check all the boxes of a good product that fulfills its purpose.

Very well made product . . . industrial quality! Frame is constructed of stout aluminum tubing. All parts click together with strong brass detents. There is a slight amount of sway/flex left to right when seated, but not what I would consider excessive. Instructions indicate "rubber feet may need to be rotated to accommodate the floor's surface"; I didn't test that feature because feet were tightly fastened and adjustment wasn't necessary in our case . . . rubber feet sit firmly on floor and stay put. Seat doesn't flip up like most other brands do which has pros and cons; it's more rigid, but also not as easy to clean. Cushion is comfortable, has just the right amount of give, and appears to be made from same material throughout which is great. Opening where you do your business is only 6" which is a bit on the small side but should be fine for most. It’s not clear if disposable liners are available for this bucket should you choose to use as a portable commode . . . small trash can liners may work.

Having had recent back surgery I needed a raised seat and couldn’t wait for the VA to send one So I did some research and find this wonderful, sturdy, and comfortable seat I am very happy with it It required minimal assembly It has a semi soft padded seat which is relatively easy to clean This is truly where function meets value

I received the toilet seat yesterday, several days before the projected date. Today, my landlady put it together for me as I have a fractured vertebra and can’t move much... Fantastic product! Took all of 5 minutes to assemble, and it is both stable and comfortable over an elongated toilet. I am 5’2” and find the lowest setting just slightly too high, as my feet do not touch flat to the ground when on the seat, but the improvement in the comfort level of using the toilet (I have to raise and lower myself with my arms grasping the rails) is remarkable. The seat feels soft and stable, the bars are solid and yet the whole thing is light and easy to move. The optional pastic insert can be used to turn the seat into a commode. I am so glad I didn’t go with a cheaper model!

Se lo compramos a mí mamá quién es adulta mayor con Alzheimer y ya no puede hacer el esfuerzo de doblar sus rodillas al sentarse en la taza. Pero ahora se puede sentar muy bien sin tanto esfuerzo y lo mejor es que se levanta fácilmente. Es de fácil y rápido ensamblado y no ocupa tanto espacio.

For post-op hip replacement, this product is about as perfect as you can get. Easy to assemble, comfortable, sturdy and SAFE, also easy to clean.

We had purchased raised toilet seat before for my husband but nothing like this one. I like the fact that I can easily take it out when I use the toilet and put it back in for my husband. My husband said it is very comfortable for him.
