Worth the money.
UPDATE:Yesterday when cleaning pool I noticed I didn't have the vacuum hose correctly in the skimmer filter and adjusted it...and now it does CLIMB OUT OF THE POOL! YAHOOOOO!! WORKS LIKE A CHARM ๐ฅ Iโm giving 5 stars because it was easy to set up out of the box and place in pool, where it immediately went to work. I was skeptical at first if it would work efficiently because it almost didnโt pass the suction test. It was registering to low. I placed it in the shallow end, and it started right up and started working. Mine may not climb out of the pool, but it still goes up the wall about 80% and once in deep end, it has enough suction and power to come back up to the shallow end to clean. Sometimes it appears to get stuck around the stairs, but always works itโs way out of it, and keeps going. Iโve never had to readjust the vacuum to free it from being stuck. Iโm really happy I was finally able to afford it, because itโs worth the money. I only wished that it came with a purchasable extended warranty.

Great Pool Vacuum - Requires less pump suction than other brands / models
This vacuum works great. I had the same model (dealer model 2025ADC) for a few years (5?) and it finally wore out. I tried to rebuild it but was unsuccessful. Not all suction vacuums are created equal. Hayward 32025ADC best features: 1. Works with much less pump suction / lower RPM allowing me to keep my variable speed pump at the lower speeds - 2500rpm and vacuuming all day. 2. Next to silent operation. Very quiet. Downsides: Debris pickup size is smaller for this model and larger debris/ leaves can jam it up. You can offset this by using more VSP suction if that is an issue for your pool. The competition: The two wheeled models such as; Poolvergnuegen โthe orginal pool cleanerโ, hayward phoenix, or aquanaut 200. Also, the Pentair rebel. These are all the same unit with different colors and branding. Many swear by this two wheel design. The two wheeled versions require significantly more suction to move at all. Also they require two plastic float rings be installed on the line hose to keep the unit upright. They work by squeezing the vacuum line and reducing hose size. These float rings may fall off or get kicked off my kids when swimming. The Aquanaut 200 I tried was so loud I could hear the mechanical clicking of the unit over the pool pump and while it was in the deep end! It was distracting. In short My family swims daily and we leave the vacuum in the pool and running. The Hayward XL concrete model worked with less suction and is very quiet!

This guyโs a dynamo! Butโฆโฆ
Update 5/6/2023 This vacuum never stops, but it always makes a knot in the hose. As a result, it can only vacuum a small part of the pool. Bought a swivel here on Amazon to connect the hose to the vacuum hoping this would solve the problem. At first I thought it did because there were no knots in the hose. That just created a new problem. The vacuum now twists the hose resulting in the same lack of coverage. Itโs like one of those twisty ties except a giant version! While the vacuum may be great and runs well, itโs no good to me if it vacuums only one small area of the pool. Guess Iโm going to have to look for yet another pool vacuum. Bought this to replace my previous vacuum that had worked great for 5 years then died. Replaced it with the same, but it also died within a year. So researched here on Amazon, read reviews, and decided Iโd give this one a try. I set it up easily, put it in the pool and away it went! Itโs fast, cleans great, climbs the walls (but not steps). Living in Southern California the vacuum runs all day every day for about 6 hours and works great except for one thingโฆ. The only issue seems to be one I read about in the reviews. It constantly creates a knot in the hose! I donโt know how since Iโm not out watching it all day, but it seems to happen daily! Itโs a pain to have to untangle it everyday, otherwise it wonโt reach the farthest end of the pool. Iโll keep an eye on it in the summer when Iโm outside most of the day. This is the reason it only got 4 stars from me.

Broke down after 1 year.
The cleaner stopped moving 1 year after the purchase, with no damage, no stuck debris -- just stopped functioning on day. The manufacturer does not respond, $500 down the drain. I used to buy Hayward equipment for decades, but this is the last time I'm touching anything from this brand.

COST A LITTLE MORE BUT WORTH IT
I am very happy that I purchased this unit as opposed to a Pentair Shark that I had before. The nose configuration of the Pentair constantly got hung up on the bottom step of the pool. This Hayward requires the pump pressure (suction) to be within a certain range in order for it to function properly. To accomplish that, it comes with a spring loaded device that you attach to the end of the vacuum hose. While keeping it under water and with the pool motor running you can see the amount of suction your pool is providing. Then by either adjusting the pump motor speed or by opening or closing the intake valve you can easily make any necessary adjustments. The instructions are clear on how to do this. After setting it up, the vacuum works perfectly and as a side benefit, I had to lower my pump speed for the correct pressure. The only negative is that if the unit sucks up a small hard object, it can jam in the impeller which will cause the vacuum to stop moving. However, there is a small cover plate on the bottom of the vacuum that opens by removing one screw and allows the easy removal of the object. Spare parts that wear out through use are also readily available. All in all, I am happy I spent a little more for this Hayward unit and will replace it with another one in the future.

Buy one about every 7 to 8 years
These have a lot of moving parts that wear down, but you can easily replace. But they eventually get to the point where itโs time for a new unit. But itโs worth it because they clean the pool great. I think I use the word but too much. But whatever.
