Kanu Surf Men’s Swim Shirt with Short Sleeves – UPF 50+ Rash Guard with Quick-Dry Fabric

Nice weight, fits on the straight looser side (no extreme tapering to the waist). I bought the 2X and was worried about the length but it’s perfect - right at 29.5” inches from shoulder to bottom. The fabric is not super thick - kind of that feel of satiny black athletic shorts, which I think will be nice for hot summer. The side panels are nice, kind of a slimming effect on the side. I ordered a bunch of other swim shirts at the same time that were more traditional thicker material and I like this one the most both for fit and coolness. I don’t know that I would wear it anywhere except for the beach or gym because it has that big stitching but seems quality. The cut is generous. I attached some pics of the chest measurement which maybe is more like a true xl measurement but since the material is kind of stretchy it is true to the size I ordered and would fit up to a 50 chest easily.

Product arrived on time in brand new condition. Excellent fit and look! The black/charcoal detailing under the arms and sides are a great looking detail and truly add to the appeal of the shirt. A smaller circumference in the neck on the large size would make for better UV protection, but it still fits well for medium to larger neck size. Overall, a fantastic swim shirt that looks good enough for everyday wear. Highly recommend. One of the best available choices on Amazon for a swim shirt!

I'm 5'11" and 255 lbs with medium build and a good sized potbelly. I bought a size up based on reviews and got the XXL but feel like the XL would have been enough. Just spent a weekend at the Texas Gulf ocean and feel slightly disappointed; mainly due to the size and water retention. The MATERIAL is great and comfortable with no itching, rash or anything like that. SUN protection is great as I am as pale as I ever was where the shirt covered. I spent a few hours out each day and it was 95-105 real feel each day but I didn't get even tan underneath. WATER RETENTION - it wasn't terrible and could be because it fit loosely on my and there was a lot of cloth but I did have to ring it out on all sides while walking back on shore to not have that wet-t-shirt vibe for a bearded male. It definitely wasn't as bad as cotton but more than I expected. DESIGN - i would have preferred a straight black one but the black with gray sides isn't terrible. DURABILITY - heavy use over an extended memorial weekend with good strong gulf waves and it looks like I haven't worn it. Only washed and air dried once thus far. OVERALL: I don't know about the buy a size up but maybe it's because the only thing keeping me out of a large (in my regular tees) is my potbelly and my love handles so perhaps XL would be a technical size up for me, I don't know. But I'll probably be getting an XL next. I will choose another brand if I can get it in all black though this was the best rated swim shirt

I've had one of these for years and it's held up great so I just recently bought 2 more. Love them. Saves applying sun screen all over all day.

These are simple T-shirts made with quick drying materials, nothing more. If you are an XL or XXL you can wear it as a T-shirt without worrying about it binding. The bottoms are not tapered, so the fit is very relaxed. In fact, I am going to order an XL I like the XXL so much. I think they are a great value for $20 so they get a five-star rating. The material is light and stretches when wet, so it becomes another size or two in the water. This is not a problem snorkeling - in fact they're GREAT for snorkeling because they don't bind in the water. However, they are not perfect for more active water sports (like playing with your kids) because as I've noted they "grow" in the water. You know how your kids latch on to anything they can in the water - skin, HAIR (ouch) or your t-shirt if you're wearing one? Well, this will stretch it out even more. You can't just dry it over a chair-back, then, because it retains some of the stretch. Only a spin-dry seems to restore it. Another problem with these is that there is no air vent at the top, so the wet fabric turns into a balloon as soon as it traps air. This, with your kids stretching the fabric out around your chest and back, makes the shirt very uncomfortable. If it was too large to begin with I can see it becoming dangerous if you aren't a good swimmer. In summary, this is a good value as a T-shirt with the SPF an added bonus. You don't have to buy two sizes too large because they are cut very relaxed. In fact, I'm ordering another a size DOWN. The downside is that the material "grows" in the water, which isn't a problem unless you're doing something more active than simple snorkeling (which these excel at), and your kids can really stretch it out so it becomes uncomfortable. I might even buy some of those plastic grommets and install my own air-vents!

This black swim shirt is extremely flattering & stretchy! But it isn't that type of stretch that clings at all. It is extremely functional & dries ridiculously fast! This swim shirt is very light weight & very comfortable to wear. The size is I suppose true to size? I ordered a size larger, it fits comfortably & is not tight at all. Very soft material, dries quickly, water wicks right off of it-- I think you can use this for swimming or working out to be honest! I'm on here ordering another one right now lol. Also, I have washed it (cold wash & hang dry always) and this shirt has not damaged in any way possible! This is my complete honest review! Get it! And for the price, you are getting a quality product!

I ordered this for my 62 year old brother. He normally wears medium, so that's what I ordered. He was able to squeeze into it but looked like an overstuffed sausage. The arms & upper body were fine, but the torse was incredibly tight. It was nice and soft but I'm sending it back for a large. I can't really say if it provides any sun protection yet but will come back & update the review after we get the replacement & try it in the pool. He's got pale Irish skin & red hair, so he sunburns badly. I'm hoping this will offer protection. Adding on Nov 22, 2023: It does provide sun protection! The replacement arrived & fit him much better. He enjoyed swimming in the pool with my daughter & I over the summer & his body & shoulders never became sunburned. It was comfortable & soft, & it looked good on him.

I really like these swim shirts! I take them with me on vacation to the Dominican Republic. It keeps the sun off my shoulders and chest while I'm in the pool. Saves me from getting burns. The shirt wears very comfortably in the water and dries quickly when you get out.

Came in time and fit as expected. Looks great and works well.

Great shirt at a great price I ordered a Large and XL as was unsure what would actually fit my dad-bod. The Large was a little tight around the beer gut, but it did fit. The XL however, was a perfect fit. I'm planning to buy another in the future.
