Nutri-Cal Malt-Flavored High-Calorie Nutritional Gel for Dogs, 4.25oz

Great product for when my pup was sick. She wasnt eating for 3 days and I got this to get something in her and she actually loved it. It got her through her rough time and helped her to get back on track and healthy.

Let me just say this. I've got one almost 16 year old Chihuahua Yorkie mix. I love this little girl to pieces. She's got some elevated liver values going on a few years now but supplements have helped. As she's aged, her stools are more inconsistent and she's been losing some weight and she's also become a more picky eater. So I went looking for something to supplement her calories or stimulate her appetite having no idea anything would work. The first time I offered her this she just turned her nose to it. I just laughed out loud because it's just like her. But, the next time I offered it and popped a little on her mouth before she had the chance to turn away, she gobbled it up right away and wanted more and more. Now she can't wait to lick it up. And she's also more hungry now believe it or not. This is a 100% honest review.

Excellent product. My senior dog doesn't eat as she should. This not only gives her much needed vitamins and minerals, but she likes the taste. It's been a big help.

My mini poodle girl loves this stuff. Shes a picky eater with a low appetite. This has helped her get more nutrients into her diet as well as boosts her appetite to eat more food. I’ve used one tube and already see a difference in her weight and appetite and energy level. I will continue to buy it as long as my girl loves it. I took one star off because it comes about halfway filled.

This product is just like the nutrition cal for puppies. Gives my senior dog the little extra she needs. Great product I highly recommend. FYI. Do not use for chubby dogs. High calorie content.

I need to write a review for this product in case there is someone out there with an elderly dog who is withering because he/she won't eat. I have a 16-year-old chihuahua who is on medication for her heart. She suddenly started turning her nose up at her food and wouldn't eat. I tried all of the usual suggestions--boiled chicken, scrambled eggs, etc. etc. I was convinced that she was going to die. I purchased this nutritional gel, and it definitely has played an important role in extending my chihuahua's life. She only weighs 3.5 lbs, so I feed her 1/2 tsp in the morning and another 1/2 tsp in the evening. She absolutely loves it and eats it right out of the measuring spoon while I hold her. The gel has given her strength and energy. Now, I have gotten her to eat Gerber's pureed turkey baby food along with this paste. She also eats pure pumpkin from the can. She is getting the calories that she lacks from not eating her regular food. Thank you for giving me more time with my precious Rita.

I have a senior (16 year old) Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who stopped eating, no matter what food we tried or how we fixed it. She started to get very skinny, so we tried this. Put it on her nose; she licked it off and then wanted to lick the tube. So I squirted a little bit out and she kept licking. She loves it. Not only did it help her get healthy, it increased her appetite for her regular Fresh Pet food, and she will now eat a little bit of food after her "dose" of Nutri-Cal. I give her a portion every morning, and now I don't have to worry about her, as she is getting back to her regular 7-pound weight. I think it smells a little like meat. I just ordered my second tube and will keep using it.

Habe die Tube eben bekommen. Mir hat überhaupt nicht gefallen,dass sie für den teuren Preis nicht gut gefüllt war. Würde sagen 2/3 nur voll. Mein Hund wiegt 23kg.braucht dann also ca. 7 Teelöffel. Mit der Tube komme ich sicherlich wenn überhaupt nur ne Woche aus.

Spike is a very fussy eater and yet he survives on a very minimal amount of food daily. This Nutri cal works well with him, giving him more energy and he started to enjoy food more.
