are these big enough to fit small resistors? i am trying to find bags to sort all my small resistors, capacitors, and electronic stuff

Do these open easily? I had some small bags like this once that had tiny tabs that were hard to separate and was so frustrating trying to open.

They are very easy to open and seal. They seal really tight also. They don't come attached to that board as the picture shows either. They come connected at the tab so that two bags are attached together at the opening. It's more convenient that way also because it keeps them organized. Hope this answers your question. I have bought them again so that tells you I find them very good quality.

Do these bags contain PVC? Will they be okay for storing collectible coins?

Just about all resealable bags contain pvc and are not suitable for long term coin storage. Even the bags my LCS uses are not pvc free. In my experience they are safe for a good while. I've had some in them for around a year with no damage.

Can I store food in these?

Sure, if you're a mouse headed on an expedition to forage. These bags are 1 inch by inch.
