Windows & Doors: Installing, Repairing, Replacing (For Pros By Pros)

I am not a pro so I can't say how complete the instructions were. I seemed to me the directions were pretty detailed and offered many tips. I was looking for information on enlarging the existing and installing the new window which it didn't include. I did learn it's not as easy as I thought and there are many problems that could arise from incorrect installation.

This book is alright, it doesn’t show you a lot of basics and nothing about installing an egress window in an existing basement.It does have some great details on repairs for doors and windows.Maybe a few more pictures that display the content of the book would be helpful.

Not impressed. It did not cover installing new windows, or windows in a brick wall. Waste of money as far as I am concerned.

There was not enough detailed information like the author's book on stair building.

very detailed with good supporting photos for the most part, some of install processes seemed a bit overkill but probably better than providing too little info

I wanted to do research on replacement and window installations. To decide whether to go with windows, or a different product for my project, I wanted to see how much is involved in the installation. This books gives this information to you.

Completely irrelevant for today's window systems - don't bother buying.

As all "For Pros by Pros" series, this is just a collection of articles by various authors - without much consistency across... Can find some interesting ideas though.
