Panasonic VHS to DVD Recorder VCR Combo w/Remote, HDMI

Works good. Took a while to figure how to set up and record

For some reason, the Amazon advertisement and the Seller's did not match. However the Seller kindly agreed to supply what was advertised by Amazon, sending me additional items. When I received a Remote, it did not work. I contacted Panasonic, the maker of the DVD recorder. They (via online chat) led my through Resetting the DVD Recorder to Factor Setup, suggesting that would help it to sync with the Remote. It DID NOT. In fact, it left me with a device that was in Factor Setup, with NO WAY to change it, as the Remote I had did not work. At that point, Panasonic said seeing that the Recorder was an older model, they could not provide any additional help. When I contacted the Seller for any suggestions, he was good enough to get a Remote and set it up to work immediately upon arrival. I have already used the DVD Recorder and it works great, recording an old family VHS. I am very happy with the DVD Recorder and all the Support provided by the Seller.

This machine is a huge disappointment. The quality of the VHS image is poor. The DVD player worked only a couple of times. While I am generally savvy with mechanics and electronics, the manual is not useful at all. I never had the chance to try recording from VHS to DVD.

Item was exactly what I ordered. It works great

Tried other recording devices first because I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Ends up that I should have spent the money to begin with because I returned those devices and bought this after all. Comes with universal remote that is already programmed and works. Copies vhs to DVD great. Picture and sound is better than on the vhs tape. Only negative comment is the 10 free blank discs were just thrown in the box- no case, no sleeve -some were scratched. Nonetheless, the recorder works great.

It worked well. I took my old one into for repairs. The repairs cost almost as much as just buying this one and did not give the extras provided with the purchase.

I’m having to give a low review on this product because it did not arrive with the promised items. My packaging was packaged nicely in bubble wrap, however, it was missing the HDMI cable, the CDs, and most importantly the manual, which these items were all in the description as items that will be with my order. I finally ended up getting the RCA/ HDMI converter with a new HDMI cable only to realize that it did not come with a power cord either. ( this item wasn’t listed as an item that was supposed to be in the box but I think any electronics being sold at the price I paid would have the power cord included, but I guess that’s just me. Now I have to find an AC adapter that will fit the specialized plug on the back of this machine before I can see if it works. It did come with what looks to be a brand new remote, however, the remote does not work. After installing two brand new batteries, the remote would not turn on. ( the remote has a “red eye “ that’s supposed to flash when a button is pressed) as for me today, I would not suggest or recommend purchasing this item from this seller. However, I will wait until I find an AC adapter and try to get a remote that works and try to purchase a manual before I can give a full review on how the machine itself works or won’t work. Still waiting on pins and needles!
