Melissa & Doug Sweets and Treats Sticker Pad - 500 Stickers, 16 Backgrounds

This has been a loved and resourceful item to pack for restaurant entertainment for our kids. We don’t allow use of screens so this is a great alternative. It keeps them entertained while we wait for our food to arrive.

This booklet is soooo cool!! Two of my daughter's favorite things are crafts and special treats. This book combines both beautifully!!First, this is much larger than I thought it would be. I would say it's 14 inches high and 11 inches wide (give or take). Inside there are several pages of blank treats. You're given cupcake bottoms, an undecorated cake, ice cream cones, unfrosted cookies, a plain gingerbread house, etc. The last several pages are filled with a zillion stickers you can use to decorate your pages. All of my pix are of already decorated treats.The stickers are all types, kinds, and colors of sweet treat. You get frosting, icing, berries, gum drops, lollipops, whipped cream, cherries, sprinkles - you name it! You can mix and match them however you like. If you're not feeling creative, there are sample pages included to give you some ideas.Some of the stickers work better on certain pages than others (candy canes definitely fit better with the gingerbread house than on an ice cream cone) but you can use your imagination and create anything you'd like!This gave my daughter hours of entertainment. If I could make one improvement it would be to have reusable stickers. I don't particularly like reusable stickers and I don't think they work all that well, but my kids think they're fantastic. You could use this thing forever with those!

My 3yo granddaughter loves all kinds of stickers and really loves these Melissa & Doug sticker pads. I’ve bought a lot of different ones and bought them multiple times after she uses up all the stickers. This particular one doesn’t have stickers you can reposition. Some of them do, so we put all the stickers back on the sheets and she can re-use them. It helps if you remove the backing on the sticker sheets so it’s easier for little fingers to peel off the stickers.

As usual, Melissa & Doug has created an outstanding product. I gave this to my 4-year-old daughter with her Christmas gifts (as well as another theme to my 3-year-old son). She loves stickers and being able to decorate her own treats. The stickers are fairly easy for a 3 and 4 year old to remove on their own without ripping them and if they are not satisfied with the initial placement, I have been able to peel off the sticker without ripping the page/sticker so they can put it where they wish.Although this does not in any way alter my view that this is a great product for young children, if I had to provide one aspect that I would change then the only thing I was slightly not pleased with over this was that the stickers are in the back of the book and seem to be mixed up for which scene they most relate to (where previous products I have purchased had one page of stickers specific to each one page of scene). I would like if the photo scene and the stickers were together within the book to make it easier for the kids to use because once you rip one out, the other pages also come out.

This is a great set for anyone who has a sticker-crazed toddler running around. It says "for 3+" but if you play with your toddler, there's no problem with these. Mine needs help peeling the stickers (they're kind of thin, so she rips them if left to her own devices), and it's better if you tear the page out of the book, rather than leaving them in the book (less chance for paper cuts, and helps the toddler focus on one task). Only one disappointment: the pages are regular paper, so the stickers are NOT reusable (I thought they were, which is why I chose this set). But I guess I could laminate the pages that aren't used yet, and have her practice sticking on the stickers and peeling them off. The pages are big and wonderful, we made a "cake" together for Grandpa's birthday gift (her first project), and we were having so much fun, even Daddy wanted to come and see what his girls were doing together. Overall a nice activity to do with your toddler. If your child is older, then he/she would get many hours of play out of this too!

My 3 yo and 6 yo love stickers, and this was one they could do together. They had a lot of fun sitting at the table together decorating their cakes and donuts ☺️

You will be hard pressed to find a review I have written about a Melissa and Doug toy/craft that I have not liked, and more importantly, that my kids have not liked.The Sweets and Treats Sticker Pad features page upon page of tasty treats and delicacies for your child to create and decorate. They can decorate and embellish cupcakes, cakes, ice cream cones, cookies and ice cream sundaes. There are candies, whipped cream, icing, cherries, lollipops, those cute little chocolate candies with white sprinkles, all kinds of pastry chef stuff!My boys (3 and 7) have enjoyed this sticker pad as much as my daughter (5). It encourages creativity, and one time, we cut out their treats for them to play with in their play kitchen. Activities like this that allow children to do something different every time encourages their creativity.This makes an excellent gift for a little girl's birthday too, and if I had any complaint, it would be that I wish there were more pages! Definitely worth the price for an activity sure to keep them busy for awhile!
