Could I use this to cover my whole head not just my roots?

It covers gray roots very well, but they are small cans so I'm not sure it would be cost effective to try to cover your whole head. The color washes out with each shampoo so you have to re-apply each time. This isn't a permanent color that will last for several weeks.
