At 52, post-menopausal, I’ve noticed that aging doesn’t just affect skin and hair—nails often need more help too. This has been excellent for giving my nails both treatment benefits and a polished appearance at the same time. Instead of needing color polish, I’ve been wearing it alone and really love the look. It makes nails look groomed and healthier instantly, which I appreciate on days when I don’t want the maintenance of regular polish. Beyond the cosmetic side, it also feels like it’s helping. Products with peptides and strengthening ingredients can be especially useful when nails feel weak, thin, or prone to breaking. With continued use, my nails felt more protected and looked smoother. The formula applies evenly, dries nicely, and gives enough shine to look intentional without being overly glossy. It’s the kind of product that makes hands look more put together with very little effort. Who is this best for? Anyone dealing with weak, peeling, aging, or brittle nails, people who like natural-looking manicures, or anyone wanting a low-maintenance polished nail look. Who may not love it? If you prefer bold color or dramatic gel-like shine, this is more subtle and treatment-focused. What I like most is that it combines beauty and practicality. This helps my damaged nails very well. I use as a first base coat, sometimes two coats is great. I used it with the Camo Nude from the same company which I will review next. The Dermelect products are helping my nails look a lot better.

I’ve worn acrylic nails off and on for 30+ years. I first discovered this polish in one of my beauty subscription boxes. I didn’t think much about it until I removed my acrylic nails at home. After lightly buffing my nails I applied two coats of this polish and was shocked by the results. It legitimately made my nails look great without any trace of the damage done by the acrylic tips. Phenomenal results and worth the price.

I'm a bit of a metrosexual kind of guy so I'm not afraid to try products that lean towards a fem sized. I historically get hang nails the minute after trimming my nails so I was looking for something to protect and look natural. I've used hardeners and while they are mostly good they tend to look unnatural on men. This nail protection goes on easy and leaves my nails protected, medium glossed and leave a healty natual looking finish. As a bonus, it lasts long too. Guys if you want to up your game a little, follow the ladies and try this out.

It looks good under nail polish. At first it looks great but the issue is it seems to yellow a bit with wear. Also the screw top disconnected from the brush making it hard to use. I expected more.

Camo-Nude polish by Dermelect is better than this Transfix product, which is better than their Makeover polish in terms of cosmetic appeal. (Unless you like an unnatural pink hue.) I think Camo-Nude is a bit better at hiding ridges too. Also, the Camo-Nude wears off, it doesn't chip off. That makes it easy to just add a coat rather than constantly use polish remover, which tends to defeat your gains. All the Dermelect nail polishes are better than normal polish or therapeutic nail products at concealing ridges and making nails look healthy while being much gentler on the nail. (A good part of the battle.) At first, I thought this product was rebuilding my tattered, chipping, tearing, splitting, flaking, and dull, powdery nails. If one consistently uses the product, meaning applying it frequently while the nail grows out, it does help but not as much as I imagined, based on the company sales information. Still, it does much better than other brand products. I suspect that a large part of the reason it helps the health of the nails is that it protects them from water. Water on nails and hair tends to break down the keratin. Thus the age-old advice to 1) wear gloves around water and 2) don't wash you hair more than you absolutely have to and dry it soon. To you other buyers, the effort and cost are best endured by those of you with truly ratty nails. Otherwise, the cost to benefit ratio is questionable.

Great color lasts a while only used it once so I can’t give a detailed review just yet.

Terrible, doesn't smooth my nail. I feel ridges after 2 coats. Nice and shiny but doesn't do as promised. I wish I could return it Update: I've used it and my nails are actually worse buyer beware
