PNY CS900 500GB 2.5" SATA III Internal SSD

You can't beat the price for a 500GB SSD from a trusted brand like PNY. I'm using this as a secondary drive to back up my business files and documents. It runs cool, quiet, and much faster than any traditional HDD. Highly recommended if you need cheap, dependable storage.

swapped out two regular HDD for two of these PNY CS900 500GB ssd's, couldn't be more pleased about it. I did end up losing the original OS, though that was my fault for not following instructions!!! D'OH!! I used Linux Mint on both machines and couldn't be happier, they work like a charm and even better than before, no more lag, they boot up quickly and its a secure setup. Software Not Included!! If you're going to replace an old hard drive with an SSD be sure to read the instructions completely and DO YOUR RESEARCH!! I had a Windows 10 system with the extended updates, and thought I had smooth sailing for at least an additional year, but made some mistakes, and ended up having to learn about alternate OS, thus Linux Mint, which I recommend!

This was a surprisingly inexpensive drive, and while I wouldn’t necessarily trust critical files to it without backup, it’s well made and runs well. I’ve only had it a month or so, so I’ll update it if I have lifespan issues, but - so far so good. The drive has a plastic exterior with a sticker slapped on either side, so the case doesn’t look sophisticated - it looks cheap, but it works! Drive speed is as-expected. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Got this right before the crazy price hikes so it was a good deal. I was kinda naive to the actual format process needed so that took me a little but to figure out, but was not too bad once I found a good guide. So far no issues, it's reliable. The speed and data transfer rate appear as advertised and it has been going fine.

This thing has breathed new life into my old PC. I have an HP Envy Phoenix PC that had a failing hard drive and the slowness was unbearable. Getting that hard drive swapped out for this new SSD caused its boot times to drastically increase from minutes to seconds. Download speeds have improved too, and I was able to use the same wires for the old hard drive for this new SSD.

Dell vostro 15 に使用元々HDDが付いているモデルでクラッシュしたのでこれに交換しました。「Dell OS リカバリツール」が使えるのでSSDを交換してツールをUSBブートで起動してインストール完了です。昔と違って楽ですね勿論HDDからSSDへの換装なので速度爆上がりです。

Cloned with ease, to put in my 500gb Nvidia Shield. It helped to totally revive it to new condition. I have had a PNY in my computer for about 3 years as well and has proved to be reliable.
