Able to keep factory profile on chains.
I have another model of this brand and wanted to upgrade to a better one to have both set up for different chain sizes. This has more features than my other one. Am very satisfied with this chain sharpener.

Every adjustment is availble
I bought this for my father for Christmas as he has 4 different Stihl chainsaws he uses depending on the job, and we're constantly using files to hand sharpen chains. Rather than keep using files (can you really maintain a perfect 30 degree angle?), I thought this would add some much needed consistency to the process, and it has. We're still early in the use of this machine, but the construction of it is solid, and it has numerous adjustments for properly positioning the grinding wheel to the chain teeth. I will say that for someone new to this machine, it takes some practice and reading of the instructions carefully to make sure you get everything setup correctly -- use of this tool isn't "idiot proof." I think we'll get a lot of good use out of this.Probably a nitpick, but if I had to ding it for anything, I'd hit it for the stop screw when you pull down the grinder for the depth gauge. That screw seems a bit smaller than I'd like, and there appears to be a divot drilled into the lower arm near where that screw hits, but it's not properly aligned to actually hit it. It seems like a manufacturing miss for the divot in the wrong spot, and I'd prefer a heftier screw with a fine thread to adjust the depth of the grind by turning the stop bolt. Of course, Oregon didn't ask for my opinion on that.

Easy
Great sharpener have not had a bad sharpening on it yet. I cut between 15-20 cord of wood a year. There is some play in the arm when you pull it down. I just put to one side and sharpener everything the same way. Like the ability to put the 2nd angle on the table.

Not for the novice but you don't have to be an expert either
As a beginner, it took me awhile to figure everything out. It seems to have great instructions for sharpening Oregon chains but if you are using another brand... takes a bit more to figure out. Once you do, it is very easy and fast to sharpen a chain. I recommend watching several youtube videos before you begin using.

Easy to use
I actually like everything about it the adjustments are easy to make and they’re very clear on the machine. It’s easy to use and saves me a lot of money. My entire family of four homes uses firewood and we have a lot of it. We just had a tornado and we had about 72 trees down. That’s enough wood for the next 10 years. Some of the trees were over 100 years old.
