NEW OXO Good Grips POP Container Rice Measuring Cup

This is a great rice cup! Sturdy, accurate measurement and easy to clean. Best of all I won’t lose it because it sticks to the lid. I know people have mentioned the measurement is not exact. They say it’s less than 1 cup. That’s because this is a rice cup which is usually less than a measuring cup. If you have a rice cooker, it usually comes with a plastic cup which is the rice cup and in the video I uploaded the measurement of the oxo rice cup is the same as the plastic cup! This is the cup to use for rice cooker measurement!

I bought this to use in my laundry beads container. The item is great quality. I accidentally dropped it while opening the package, and it was fine. The issue is that the laundry beads stick to the scoop. I'm still giving it five stars, as the scoop wasn't made specifically for laundry beads (scent boost). I wouldn't recommend it if that's what you're looking for; other uses, yes.

This scoop is the perfect companion to our Oxo Pop rice container. It is conveniently stored in the lid and makes dispensing and measuring rice very easy. Oxo makes terrific products; we own many of them.

I love Oxo products in general, but this is one of my favorites! No more scooping product into a measuring cup, with scoop or spoon! I bought several of these and keep them in my Oxo canisters, for convenience. They are perfect for oatmeal, flour, sugar, brown sugar, rice, quinoa, lentils....any dry ingredients the need to be measured before cooking/baking! They are made of high quality plastic that washes great! And there is even a thumb indentation on the handle, for comfort, and stability when scooping; genius! Love, love, LOVE this product!

NOTE: This scoop, although it says it's a 1 cup scoop, only measures up to 3/4 cup! I compared it with my Anchor Hocking liquid measuring cup, and this scoop very clearly only measures 3/4 cup to the very top. However, I'm very happy with that, as I needed a precisely 3/4 cup scoop for my dog's food, and I purchased this one specifically because I had seen others in the comments mention the same thing. So it works great for me, but if you need to measure a full 1 cup, you will be disappointed.

This is way more substantial than the translucent ones that come with rice cookers. I like that it's clear because sometimes I'm not measuring a full "cup." I suppose most people aren't measuring half portions, but my rice cooker will cook a half-cup portion of rice and sometimes I do that. Also, I cook brown rice and I prefer a little more water than the official line for brown rice in the pan of the rice cooker, so I'm trying to get an exact measure of water that I will use going forward, instead of eyeballing a couple of millimeters above the line. It's just as hard to read the measurements on this cup as on my original rice measuring cup. I will have to do like my mother did when she got older & use a black marker to mark the measurements on the cup. The thumb indentation is perfect. I wish it had a small hole in the handle so I could hang it on a nail or hook.

This thing is great. Have used it for a decade and it's helped me go through maybe 100 lbs of rice in that time? No outward signs of wear. It has lived in a succession of rice bags and will no doubt continue to do so for years to come.

This is a nice rice cup. Nice markings, crystal clear plastic, good handle, just simple.

Use it to scoop my cat's food. Works well for what I need it for. Like that it has the measurements on it so I can see how much I'm feeding him.
