Mud Shovel 6.5 Fender

I purchased the front, rear, and downtube fenders from PDW for my Salsa HeyDey. They are surprisingly light and simple to install. The ability to snap the rear and downtube fenders off is great, they would definitely break away safely instead of snapping if you went down. They are stable, I haven’t had to adjust them during a ride. I did a very sloppy ride 15 with them and only my boots got trashed. Definitely one of the best values out there for what you get.

This is an easy to install fender with the Velcro. It works very well to limit the mud thrown on me by my front 4+ inch tire. Installation takes only a few minutes. The material is lightweight but strong. I expect it will last several years of hard use before needing replacement.

Fit my Juiced RipCurrent fork just fine, barely touches the down tube which could be trimmed with scissors if needed. Very easy no tools install. It has held up for a couple hundred miles so far, mostly off road, and I have not even needed to readjust it since the install. Don’t expect it to deflect everything thing your front wheel throws up, it is a minimalistic & inexpensive solution, but it does keep muck off the majority of my down tube mounted battery. I dig the typo design as well. Pretty clever design from the Rock Bros!

The Velcro straps are plenty long enough for my Giant fatbike (XL frame and massive thick forks)Fits perfect. Stable. Weighs next to nothing. Toss it into my bag and pull it out when it’s really wet out.

Simple, elegant, cheap price, & works great on my 2019 Pole Taiga size large. Also have the matching rear fender. Manufacturer customer service is also outstanding (they solved a small issue with the matching rear fender for me).

It is way too small to do much of anything. needs to be 2,3x as large at least. Rode on wet roads and spray goes from the front tire direct to my face, same as no fender. The rear fender is a good one. This one is a miss.

Using this along with the mud shovel eliminates water and mud from the front. For such lightweight, thin plastic, these work very well. No worries at all about weight.

I have the entire set, front fender, downtube, and rear fender. Fat tires can throw a lot of mud and water, these really tame that. They looked flimsy but after 6 weeks of riding they are hanging in there. I come back from rides with the bottom of my bike caked with mud and snow while my shoes and tights are almost dry and clean. I was skeptical, but I really like them. They even stay put with the bike on a car carrier. Super light, on a fat tire bike you won't notice them at all.

I like the product for it's light weight and it protects my face alright. Doesn't really protect the bike because of the size.Was easy to install but the velcro straps delaminated almost immediately and I had to use zip ties when I moved it slightly to accommodate new tires.Good value. Seems like it will last a lot longer than the harder plastic variants I've used in the past.

Las cintas velcro que trae son super resitentes.Trae instructivo.Fue facil de colocar.Para Rodada 29 son ideales.Lo mejor para colocarla es quitar la llanta, colocas la salpicadera y acomodas otra vez tu llanta.Tiene guias de corte, por si quieres hacerla más pequeña.
