Perfect Fit & Function. Good Value.
Perfect fit replacement for the Briggs & Stratton engine on my Toro push mower. Easy installation - literally snapped into the engine cover. Catches the engine shaft well for smooth starting. No issues for the 4-ish times I've started it so far. Only complaint: the pull handle is a bit small and undersized.

Super easy to install
While it's not an original Honda product, it is a perfect match for my Honda Mower. It took less than 3 minutes to install since you only need to remove three bolts and mount it in place. I was very satisfied with the quality, compatibility and durability of this replacement product. Great value and easy to install!

Great price, good product, short cord
My Toro mower has a Kohler engine and the recoil starter self-destructed. The OEM part from Kohler would have been four times what I paid for this one. It was a perfect fit and it works well. The only issue is the cord is much shorter than the OEM one. This means I cannot have it on the mower handle. For the time being, it won't hurt me to bend over a bit and pull the cord at the mower's engine. If that becomes too much, I can can tie on a length of rope and be back in business. Still, better would have been a longer cord, as it would be easier to shorten it if needed than to add to it.

Works perfectly after minor fix
Almost gave it 3 stars due to the fact that the holes didn’t line up with the threaded rods on my Honda mower (GC160 motor). The holes on this are on a slightly larger diameter bolt circle than the threaded rods. I was easily able to enlarge the holes with a round file to make it fit like it should. I gave it 4 stars because it was easy to fix and get it to fit properly, and once I tightened the nuts down, my motor started on the first pull. The spring on this retracted the pull cord as good as the original Honda part. Just make sure you have a round file handy when you install this.
