What is the ink replacement, I run out of ink, but I cannot search for the ink cartridge type

It uses one each 245 & 246 ink cartridges. Two of each from Canon will cost as much as the entire printer did...

I tried to locate #244 color ink but my search takes me to #246 will this work in this printer?

Yes 246, is for color. Search Valuetoner on Amazon the xl value pack is great.

can I USB wire it to one computer and use the wifi wireless to another?

Yes you can. It will work with multiple computers either way you would choose to print.

does it scan multiple pages?

Yes, it does. My answer is based on using the printer with my iMac so if you have a Windows based machine it may be a bit different. There is a routine called Canon IJ Scan Utility Lite that is found in the Canon Utilities. I double click on that. This generates a screen with a number of icons. So far I have used only the document icon. Before clicking on that icon, have the first page to be scanned placed on the glass. Clicking the icon will scan that page, then you will be asked if you want to scan additional pages or not and if not, exit and it will generate a completed pdf of the scanned sheets. I have not done this for more than 6 sheets so far, but no problem
