Container is much smaller than 3100ml capacity

I could hardly store 2.4 kg rice in this 3100ml capacity container box. It's full in 2.4 kg itself, somehow closed the lid. This is not 3100ml storage container even though they have attached sticker of bigger size. Not trustworthy that too with brand like Neelam. Keeping it even though purpose didn't solve.
