Whats the difference between these and the QC 20i's? It says these are newer but doesn't show any changes from the previous model

Do these make that stethoscope sound when you hit the wires?  I know the over ear ones don't.

They do. Not as much as some other in-ears I have tried, but for example more than the Bose SoundSport in ears that I have. I still prefer them to the over ear QC15/25 because they are so compact and I can sleep with them in a plane. The over ear ones will transmit sound if you lean on them when trying to sleep in a plane. I find the "stethoscope sound" to not be an issue in everyday use.

If I take this product on an international trip, can it be charged (using an appropriate adapter) with a 240 volt outlet?

You can charge these headphones using any standard USB charger regardless of the voltage, they are compatible with outlets 100-240 V.
