Very happy with this selection after well over a year of good use. These knives come very sharp, and with reasonable care, will stay that way. Well balanced and comfortable, with a fine play between feeling sturdy in the hand and to the chop, without being too heavy for sustained use. Beyond the individual blades, this set of three is well judged too. Despite having the usually wannabie chef's collection of varied knives accumulated over the years, I can honestly say I rarely reach for one outside this set of three. The exceptions being a bread knife and the very occasional cleaver time! I can recommend this block to keep your knives in order: Taylors Eye Witness Classic Chantry Knife Sharpener - Black with sensible use, you will be as happy in a year to come as with day one of use - well worth the money, buy with confidence!

These are a great set of knives, and the knives that I typically use the most. I have the less expensive brand from the same company and have loved them and used them for 15 years, but they were getting dull and not keeping an edge, so I decided to purchase a new set. This set was a step higher for this brand and it was a great price for the set of three. I have been using them for the last week or so, and they are so SHARP! The weight and feel of the knives feel great in my hand, not heavy and not too light, the handle is ergonomic (or seems to be) and fits perfectly in my hand. I have to be much more careful as I have already nicked myself a few times. It will take a little time as I was used to my duller knife set! I highly recommend this brand and this set. My last ones lasted for over 15 years and I am confident these will as well.

Questo è il primo set di coltelli "buoni" che ho comprato quindi posso fare dei paragoni con dei coltelli "normali"; nel mio caso il paragone è con dei Miracle Blade. La qualità costruttiva è eccellente, i coltelli sono pesanti e tagliano molto bene. Ho usato soprattutto il coltello più grande e l'ho usato per tagliare sia le verdure che gli affettati. Non vi aspettate che tagli come un bisturi, ovvero che appoggiando il coltello la verdura "si tagli da sola"; basta applicare un minimo di forza e il coltello fa il suo lavoro in maniera egregia. Con questi coltelli sono riuscito a tagliare le verdure molto più fini rispetto al coltello che avevo in casa e soprattuto riesco a tagliarle fino in fondo (con i coltelli che usavo prima quando arrivavo verso il fondo della cipolla o del pomodoro mi fermavo perchè temevo di tagliarmi) senza lasciare dei pezzi più spessi da tagliare in un verso differente. Ho provato il coltello più grande con affettati stagionati (coppa di testa ed un trancio di speck) e dopo un po' pratica adesso riesco a fare delle fette molto più sottili rispetto ai coltelli precedenti. Se siete incerti sull'acquisto vi consiglio di comprare solo il coltello grande, è quello che io uso in oltre il 90% dei casi. Il set può essere un'ottima idea regalo (es. se avete una suocera che passa molto tempo in cucina).
