I have a 24 inch piece of round wood what size should I buy

Use the 10" swivel base so that you have enough support under the round. It's a very sturdy swivel. Don't take any of the rubber pieces off, drill right thru them!

Can this be used to mount something to a wall?

The device has four countersunk holes in each ring that are fitted with silicone feet facing opposite sides with the two rings nestled one inside the other and flat. I would think that you could easily remove the feet and screw one ring to the wall and the other to anything else. You would need spacers to permit movement.

How thick are these? Looking to recess this into the bottom of a box.

The total thickness is 11/16 inches. The turntable is 5/16 inches with 3 standoffs on each side of 3/16 inches each.

If I purchase a 10 inches can i use a 24 inches round 1/2 inches thickness glass ?

I think it depends on your application. If its a vertical mount and you are just using it as a swivel, then no problem. If you are using it as a swivel base that is not bolted down, you could have tilting issues. The swivel itself is quite strong.
