Fit well Increased HP.
This thing worked so well that I may have to change my impeller. I had to modify the mounting plate for the pump run out, but other then that it fit and worked flawlessly. I see and immediate gain in HP, infact it flows so smoothly it allows the motor to get above that sweet spot I wish to run in too fast!. I'm looking to run about 4500 rpm and with this installed some throttle control is needed as it will climb way above that now. Good product, way too expensive for it just to say "marine" on the filter medium, but then again that's the government regs.

Did not fit a 4.3 mercruiser thunderbolt ignition with the 807764 carb by a mile.
Like all k&n products, this is well built. But I believed this would fit a 4.3 mercruiser v6 when I bought it. I have a 2002 4.3 with thunderbolt ignition. This was a mile away from fitting, way too big. Im sure if you had something different that this did fit, you'd be happy with it. Return was fast and easy

I bought this flame arrestor for my 4.3 mercruiser and found the flange mount is way to big so now I'm stuck with an item i can't use.

Works great but needs adjustments
I had to make a bracket as the hole on this is in the middle and my Mercruiser 4.3 EFI has the screw offset by about 1" to the front. I also had to drill a small hole as the top plate was touching the old screw, but the screw is not tall enough to hold it down. It is definitely NOT a drop in replacement. Also, they don't have bracket or adapters for the intake air sensor so I had to make one. Would be 5 stars as the product is a BIG improvement on the crappy metal Flame arrestor, but because of all the fittings I had to do, It gets 3 stars.

1996 four winns horizon 190
This fit perfectly for my 1996 four winns horizon 190. I don't know about mor power or better gas yet but I will say it seems ro run smoother and accelerate much smother so for that I would definitely buy again
