Works better than expected
Given the price and functionality I give 5 stars. Lost some audio throughout a cement building but for the most part they worked well. Best part is the operate well with other devices.

Great Communication
These walkie talkies worth excellent on my cruise. The communication was clear. The walkie talkies picked up other conversations, but you could easily switch between channels. I was able to communicate with 25 of my other family members who purchase the same set of walkies. The walkie talkies were good quality, the only complaint I had was that the plastic clip on the back kept coming off. But communication wise these devices worked great. They were easy to use an excellent for children and adults. They are lightweight, and can fit easily into your pockets.

Work pretty well as alternative communication
I bought these for my behavior technicians so they could communicate without the risk of a client breaking their phones. Turns out, they'd rather risk their phones being broken than use these. Still, they work as intended, certainly long enough range to use on a school campus, even a larger one, as I work in 4 different ones.

Great for plumbers
My husband is a plumber and loves to use these for commercial jobs or if heโs under a house. Itโs easier for him to communicate with helpers/other men on site than using his phone. These are functional, the sound is clear, theyโre easy to use, and very affordable. My kids also love to play with these when they have the chance.

Clear and easy to operate
These are great! They work on different terrain, mountains, trees, over rivers. Very good range I've never maxed out specifically. Very clear, a lot of channels, bright colors so you dont lose it. Awesome price! I've bought them twice. First set still works after a couple of years! I just needed more for camping with friends. Flashlight is a good backup, but not primary.

What they don't tell you is...
They do tell you that batteries are not included. there are 4 AAA batteries per unit. That is 16 AAA batteries that may last... 2 days? Ah... but it has a charging port... Ok.. so you buy 16 rechargeable batteries that cost almost half as much (or more) than the walkie talkies cost you. But now you have rechargeable right? well yeah.... sorta... You can take the batteries out every day or so and put em in your 16 bay AAA charger (you have one right?) but that is pretty time consuming to say the least. But wait.....it has a charging port so what is the problem? Well... it takes a strange bayonet plug on the unit. the kind that comes with some headsets and in fairness this is a dual charging port and headphones jack. What? you have a charger with that plug on the end! not so fast. 99% chance it is for 5 volts... or even 12 volts or whatever. Anything but the 6 volts these things need. Anything but 6 volt charger will damage these things. Basically 6 volt chargers are a unicorn especially if you want (need) one with a headphone jack. They say to call em for support. I could not find a number anywhere.. Soooo.. the search was on. I found one 6 volt charger that had interchangeable ends and comes with a variety of ends of which one.... is the one you need to plug into the unit. I also found a charger that had a switch to change voltages and ... one of those options was 6 volt. aand they cost like $15 each.... So at this point I have 4 walkie talkies that I paid $30 total for... but.. I got $15 in rechargeable batteries for em and $30 in chargers and I only have two chargers. Which is not a big problem since one (with 2 WT's) will go to my son and one to me. but you have to bring one of em at least for a trip since no other charger will work. Maybe not quite that bad.... I mean you can actually just use 4 AAA drug store batteries in an emergency or take the unit apart and charge all the batteries a couple at a time and then put the recharged batteries back in the unit... Is your head swimming by now? Mine sure was.

Great walkies
These were a gift I got for a friend and they were good quality and not too bulky for their younger kids but also not too small where it would be uncomfortable for an adult. They never told me how good the range was but it seemed like they were able to use them in most places!

Essential for backpackers, campers, etc
Game changer for spread out group activities such as backpacking, rock climbing, camping etc. Now I can pre-set all radios with sub-channels and give out to the group members who've never used them before without breaking the bank, synchronizing the different radio brands or worrying about compatibility. This opens up the freedom of movement and still provides contact. Battery life is decent, survived 3 day backpacking trip with radios always on, except nights, and heavy use. Line of sight reception is excellent on any distance. Heavy forests and around the rock reception has limitations, but still very usable. Sturdy enough to strap on the shoulder and carry all day, even drop occasionally. Cheap and simple enough to give to the little kids, though somewhat annoying to hear the constant chattering.
