I have dirty blonde hair with blonde balayage grown out from about a year and a half ago (the balayage is about 2/3rds of the way down my hair- I mostly just have my natural grown out color). I was looking for something to overall lift my hair up a little bit and bring out my natural highlights without it being too damaging or drastic. The medium blonde did just the trick! I washed my hair first with a purple shampoo and then I left the gloss in for about 6-7 min and then rinsed it out. Gave it a blow dry and it definitely brightened up my hair and brought it back to a nice honey blonde shade! My hair felt soft and looked shiny after my blow dry. 2 things I may do differently is: next time I use it leave it in for the full 20 min & once I finish with this bottle I’ll probably go for a lighter color, knowing how well this one worked! If you’re looking for a massive change I wouldn’t recommend, but if you’re wanting to enhance and brighten your natural blonde, this is perfect! Last thing I’ll throw in, is that I’m always worried about real brassy and orange tones creeping in, when it comes to an at-home coloring situation, and I didn’t get that. Some of it looks a little golden, but not brassy! My hair color is very true lighter/dirty blonde color, with cooler undertones! I hope this helps!

LIFE SAVER!!!! I meant to take a before photo, but totally forgot. I moved and tried a new hair colorist. I’m usually a medium blonde with ashy base color and mixed high and low lights. I asked her to just do what I was used to, showed her 3 photos of my hair with fresh color from back in March and when she turned my chair around I was playboy bunny white. Like platinum. Fully!! I got into the car and sobbed to my boyfriend on the drive home. He of course was like, ‘it’s HOT!!’ I was like, ‘you don’t understand. It washes me out and I’ll have to overcompensate with makeup to make me not look awful.’ He just shrugged. I was online all say the following day to find something that could just tone it down a notch. Didn’t really find a product that matched what I was looking for. Then I found this, liked the ‘medium blonde’ and figured it couldn’t be worse than it was. I mean I cried. So I did a few test strips on hair, didn’t see much change other than it was slightly darker than what I had. I asked my boyfriend to examine and he thought it looked the same. I put this on for 11 minutes and found a review that said she was light blonde and it turned orange. In a panic I washed it out. Just rinsed like the bottle said. I washed and conditioned before towel drying it to apply the product. And VOILA!! Still light blonde, not white just a pretty neutral color. My boyfriend gets major points bc when I was drying it, he said, ‘oh this is much more you. I see the difference. Still thought it was hot though!’ LOL. He’s a keeper. So is this life saving product. Next time I will be brave enough to keep it on for 20 min. For helping others, I used 1/2 the bottle. I have mid-back length thick blonde hair. I might have oversaturated in fear of missing a spot but I’m totally used to using up products fast bc there’s a lot to cover. Love love love my hair now!

good product and works quite well. I bought this because the last trip to the salon, resulted in too blonde and bright. This added some color and ended up with a satisfying color. So easy to use. One thing to note for blondes, if you have a lot of natural red undertones, this will turn your hair red. I was a dark strawberry blonde for 3 washes then the red came out and the darker blonde was beautiful

I was looking for something to maintain my hair color in-between colorings. The reviews on this product seemed decent so I thought I would give it a go. On the plus side, this product did not dry my hair out, but after a couple of uses, it didn't seem to do much either. But, then my husband said: "What happened to your hair?" I tilted my head so I could see the top in the mirror and it had turned the top of my head clown red. Not medium blonde, but a crazy shade of red. By completely re-coloring my hair again with another product, I was able to remove this Bozo-the-clown effect, but needless to say, I won't be using it again. I tried to return it again, but I was past the 30 days. I tried contacting the company, (and to their credit, they responded quickly.) But, they said: "Go through Amazon." I tried to explain I was passed the 30 days, but the product had not worked for me. Again, they responded quickly and politely, but the gist of it was: "You're a S.O.L." So, I have a 3/4 full bottle of a very overpriced product that did nothing but discolor my hair to a very undesirable shade. I wish they'd been better about taking their product back. 30 days or not, if their product so spectacularly fails, they should stand behind their product and do right by the customer.

Only used 2 times so far, it does seem to be gentle on my hair. Hair feels soft after styling. I will purchase this again.

Hair is soft, and a little more shiny. That along makes the product great.

I have naturally dark blonde hair with quite a bit of silver/white hair coming in, especially at the temples. The gray comes through like platinum highlights so I can typically go a long while between salon appointments, where I brighten up some bits and add warm low lights. As the lowlights fade, my hair tone can look ashy which doesn’t suit my coloring - it washes me out. To prolong time between salon visits, my stylist recommended using this product. It has worked out really well, adding warmth back in and color to the temples (the white hair makes it look like I have a receding hairline there). I use both Medium Blonde and Light Brown colors. I do a 7 (blonde) to 3 (brown) ratio. I mix it up together and apply to DRY hair before my shower. I concentrate on the roots and temples and then move the product all the way down to the ends so it’s all fully saturated. I clip it up and wait about 10 minutes. Then I wash it out, shampoo and condition as normal. It brings warmth back to my hair color and makes the hair around my temples more visible. My hair is shoulder length and fairly fine so I don’t use a lot: probably 21 pumps of Medium Blonde and 9 pumps of light brown. I do this about every 10 to 14 days, paying attention to consistent coverage and where I want to bring more color out. I used to use only the Medium Blonde and did it in the shower as the instructions said but it never seemed to deposit color like I wanted. This method works out much better for me. These aren’t drastic results - just enough to keep me from looking washed out, especially in the winter.

At first hated it when it was wet cause I thought it was caramel, but then it looked a little more convincing when it was dry. Until, i realized it was a little dried out and terrible customer service so far. So most probably won't but again.

I've been growing out highlights and its just the ends of my hair left but I dont want to dye my hair as its has lots of different natural tones! This is great as makes all my hair look healthy and tonal and just makes my ends look like sunkissed/beachy and natural

I recently got highlights and loved the placement, but they were a bit too light for me. The contrast with my natural color, which has darkened over the years (I used to be a dirty blonde) felt too strong. I ordered the medium blonde shade (I hesitated between medium and dark blonde, but I’m glad I chose medium). I first tested the product on my natural hair for 5 minutes and didn’t notice much change. I then applied it to the highlights, the same way you would use a conditioning mask, and left it on for about 15 minutes. The highlights turned a beautiful golden tone, and the platinum blonde was completely gone. I used only about a quarter of the bottle. I’m really happy that it didn’t hide the highlights entirely. I was aiming for a softer, more subtle look, and this delivered exactly that. My hair also feels very soft, and I definitely noticed the deep conditioning effect. I like the golden tone because it suits my complexion, and my hair naturally has some copper in it, so I wasn’t surprised that it leaned warm. I was specifically looking to shift from a cool tone to a warmer one. That said, if you’re looking for a cooler or ashier result, this might not be the best shade for you. Overall, I’m very satisfied. It is on the pricey side, but I still have about three-quarters of the bottle left, so it feels worth it. Adding pictures, because seeing other people’s results really helped me choose my shade!

I really like this idea of a gloss with colour added that I can do myself to keep my hair looking nice in between going to the hairdresser, which can be expensive. My hair feels silky and healthy. It washes out after a few weeks, which is fine. You can use this product as much as you like and it won’t damage your hair. Two thumbs up!

The bottle arrived broken and the liquid product was everywhere inside the package..+/- a half in the plastic bag :/ i will change my rating once the product is replaced
