What can I say? - these little guys are absolutely gorgeous. I purchased purely on other customer reviews and I completely agree with them, they are without a doubt incredible value for money. They come in individual boxes, inside a larger box - perfectly packaged, They are made of wood and painted and you can smell the fresh paint/varnish on them straight from the box, What was striking to me, was the build and paint quality - for the price, really fantastic. Some care has been taken here, We have 2 really big nutcrackers that stand in our fireplace and I would say the paint work is not quite as good as these little fellows, These smaller nutcrackers stand at about 12inch and are perfect for just about anywhere in your home. We have purchased to stand on our dinner table and I’m sure they’ll look amazing, I’ve included some photos for reference! Can’t praise these nutcrackers enough, if I could give them a higher rating than 5, I certainly would!! Delivered super fast too👍🏻, Happy Christmas 🎄 2020

I’m so pleased with my new nutcracker set. The characters look fab on my mantelpiece. They are a great size, the colours are bright and there’s loads of detail. I love the fact that there’s a lever on the back to make their mouths open. I will say that there was a small amount of damage to some of the embellishments but not enough for me to return. Would definitely recommend.

It was delivered very quickly. I loved the size of the items and the vibrancy of the colors. But the small piece on the red one arrived broken, and the glue was dripping. Still, I liked them so much that I’m giving 4 stars.

Fantastic! Way exceeded expectations! Every bit as good as the ones that we've seen at £40-£50 EACH. Well made, well painted, and an amazing price for the pair. Definitely recommend.

Really good quality item.

I absolutely love wooden Christmas decorations. I had already bought these and loved the first set so much I bought a second set. They are well made and the paintwork is good. They come in pairs in a good box and I am giving them as individual gifts as each one is also in it's own box so can be split up. It makes a really great gift without having to spend a fortune......just want some for myself now!

Estaba cansada de encontrar Cascanueces de plástico en ciertas tiendas... Luego, cansada de encontrarlos de madera a unos precios desorbitados... Hasta que encontré a este par de Cascanueces de Madera (madera de pino) a un precio excelente y, lo mejor de todo, llevan esa palanca en la espalda que permite que se abra y se cierre la boca. Tienen pelo y barba (no son de verdad, lo prefiero así, y está muy bien conseguido). Se les consideran talismanes protectores del hogar, o guardianes protectores del bienestar en el hogar durante las fechas navideñas. Estos Cascanueces de Madera los puse alrededor del Belén como Protectores de la Energía de la Natividad. También se consideran amuletos de prosperidad, llaman a la abundancia cuando son puestos en la puerta de entrada dentro de la casa o fuera. Su historia y su evolución me encanta, así que voy a compartir algo de ello brevemente: De forma rudimentaria y durante la antigüedad se usaba una especie de cabeza con dientes duros y fuertes para romper las nueces (frutos secos con dureza exterior, valioso interior, tal como nuestro cerebro). Luego esta cabeza se convirtió en una especie de figura usada como guardián doméstico y esto evolucionó hasta lo que conocemos ahora, aunque su simbología protectora y de abundancia no ha cambiado. Las nueces son un símbolo ancestral de prosperidad en las tradiciones celtas y nórdicas pasando por los romanos y griegos, de ahí que esta figura tenga esta simbología también. Los Cascanueces dan un toque de magia y fantasía al ambiente navideño que hayas montado en tu hogar. Estas figuras de madera suelen ser representaciones de soldados, reyes o personajes del propio cuento "El Cascanueces y el rey de los ratones" de E.T.A. Hoffmann (una de las narraciones de las tradiciones germánicas), donde el Cascanueces de la niña, Marie, cobra vida para luchar contra un ejército de roedores (de ahí que también haya figuras de Cascanueces de color rosa o llamados tipo arcoíris). Más tarde este relato fue adaptado dejando de ser el Cascanueces un juguete para convertirse en un símbolo navideño. La inspiración de esta narración llevó al artesano Füchtner a crear los Cascanueces tal y como los conocemos en la actualidad. ¡¡Estoy muy feliz con esta compra!!
