Easy to set up, very straightforward. Brought to use with ring doorbell as it doesn't like 5ghz wifi However I struggled to connect my ring doorbell to it but this was totally my fault. I misunderstood what password to use, but that's down to my age 67 lol. Once I googled set it up in seconds. Ring doorbell working perfectly now

I have an Eero Pro 6 Mesh system, and an LG TV which refuses to communicate with it, therefore I needed to create a separate network for it to log into. I had done this previously using another TP-Link extender, but it only operates on the 2.4 GHz band and was slow enough that some apps won't work, so I hoped that this 5GHz model might do the trick. The short answer is yes, I am now getting around 80 Mbps which is perfectly ok. The long answer is that while this is fine, it's (a) coming from a 900 Mbps Broadband connection so not that impressive, and (b) I've had to resort to running an Ethernet cable from the extender to the TV in order to achieve this. The setting up process is relatively straightforward using the Tether app, but WiFi speeds are nowhere near the figures quoted on the box. A lot of the problems in my case are down to the TV, I know that, but even using an iPhone to test the speed I was only getting a maximum of around 120 Mbps, and while this is fast enough for most applications it should be pointed out that this is with the extender in the same room as the router. Had I actually needed to extend the range of my WiFi network (if I hadn't been using a mesh system already) I would have bought a powerline adapter. They are much better at doing the job, although they do cost a bit more. As it stands I'd recommend this as a low cost solution where speed is not critical.

Worked fine for the first year, then the connection started cutting out regularly. After two years, it stopped working altogether. Tried resetting etc didn’t work. Pulled it out. Waited for an hour to cool down. Plugged it in near to the main router. Set it up from scratch and worked again.

Arrived an hour ago and already I'm wishing I'd bought one years ago. We have our main Sky router in the hallway at one end of the house. Our garage is attached but it's at the other end of the house, several brick walls and rooms away and also on a slightly lower level. Because of this we had no WiFi signal at all down there. We use it as a gym and I do a lot of DIY stuff down there so we wanted to get a reliable signal. I did some research and for under 20 quid this seemed like the way to go. It's absolutely fantastic and just perfect for what we need. I'm going to be honest, I didn't even read the instructions, it just looked straight forward when I took it out the box. Simply plug in near to your existing router, push the 'quick connect' button on the router (looks like two arrows going round in a circle) then push the same button on this extender. It connects in a few seconds and the indicator lights come on. Just unplug it and take it to a socket approximately midway from the existing router to the dead spot you want to cover. The unit creates a network with the same name as your original with '_ext' at the end. Just connect to that using your original password. Viola!! TV and streaming 80's YouTube music to your hearts content. This turns our garage gym from boring into a home version of Fitness24! Love it, highly recommended.

This is a great extender. I fitted mine in an upstairs bedroom with the router downstairs at opposite side of house. The signal is picked up and boosted to full on all my devices. It even helps you identify the best place for it. Online access to the managment of the extender is just like a router and with some usefull features like white and black listing devices. you can also use the app to quickly check in on the stats of the extender. Mesh and single RJ-45 access is fabulous. Shame virgin media dont supply good mesh enabled routers! nevertheless the connection from router to extender is almost seemless. I will say sometimes it gets a little warm to touch and ive had to reset it with on/off at the plug a few times but i think this is typle of networking devices, especially at this price point. connecting it was easy with the WSP button. Dont forget to check the manual for default codes if needed. If I could have added any feature it would be the ability to twist the device around when plugged in. I assume this will benefit many users where plug space and angle is a bit awkward. I was happy with my purchse and usage.

Solid WiFi Extender that does the job. This is a medium tier device since it can only broadcast upto 300 Mbps on 2.4Ghz and 433 Mbps on 5Ghz frequency bands. With that said, set up was easy with the Tether app. It can be used as a WiFi repeater/extender or as an Access Point (ethenet to WiFi). I've tried both and tested the speeds and it's solid. Great for larger homes.

This extended the wifi reach to an otherwise weakly connected upper floor. I no longer have signals drop - it has been great for meetings and classes.

This item works well but it came with the wrong electrical pin set-up, which proved problematic!
