Brilliant product.
I love how simple this product is to use, I've had other products before and it's, add a pin, have near the router, other daft things to extend your WiFi. Not with this product, its easy to set up and very powerful, I use mine in the wood shed I have on my property, with my old exstenders, if power goes down I'd have to go through all the kuffuful above. Not with this product. Power goes down, it turns off, reconnect power to outhouse and this product somehow remembers how to configure. It's brilliant. Worth the money.

Does what I wanted.
I have an Eero Pro 6 Mesh system, and an LG TV which refuses to communicate with it, therefore I needed to create a separate network for it to log into. I had done this previously using another TP-Link extender, but it only operates on the 2.4 GHz band and was slow enough that some apps won't work, so I hoped that this 5GHz model might do the trick. The short answer is yes, I am now getting around 80 Mbps which is perfectly ok. The long answer is that while this is fine, it's (a) coming from a 900 Mbps Broadband connection so not that impressive, and (b) I've had to resort to running an Ethernet cable from the extender to the TV in order to achieve this. The setting up process is relatively straightforward using the Tether app, but WiFi speeds are nowhere near the figures quoted on the box. A lot of the problems in my case are down to the TV, I know that, but even using an iPhone to test the speed I was only getting a maximum of around 120 Mbps, and while this is fast enough for most applications it should be pointed out that this is with the extender in the same room as the router.Had I actually needed to extend the range of my WiFi network (if I hadn't been using a mesh system already) I would have bought a powerline adapter. They are much better at doing the job, although they do cost a bit more. As it stands I'd recommend this as a low cost solution where speed is not critical.

Product Name: TP-Link AC750 Universal Dual Band Range ExtenderPros:Easy to set upReliable connectionDual band supportAffordable priceCons:No Ethernet portNot as powerful as some other extendersOverall:The TP-Link AC750 Universal Dual Band Range Extender is a great option for anyone looking to extend their WiFi coverage. It's easy to set up, reliable, and affordable. The dual band support is a nice touch, and it's even better if you have devices that support the 5GHz band. The only downside is that it doesn't have an Ethernet port, so you can't use it to connect wired devices.Personal Experience:I've been using the TP-Link AC750 Universal Dual Band Range Extender for about a year now, and I've been very happy with it. I was having trouble with my old extender losing connection, but the TP-Link extender has been rock solid. I've also been able to get better speeds with the TP-Link extender, especially on the 5GHz band.Overall, I would highly recommend the TP-Link AC750 Universal Dual Band Range Extender to anyone looking to extend their WiFi coverage. It's a great value for the price, and it's easy to set up and use. Here are some additional details about the extender:It supports both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, so you can get the best possible speeds for your devices. It has three internal antennas, which help to improve the signal strength and range. It can be used to create a wireless bridge, so you can connect wired devices to your network. It's compatible with most WiFi routers.I have mine connected to a BT Homehub 6 and it works flawlessly.Overall very happy with purchase and would highly recommend . 5 stars

Was great - then bricked by firmware update.
Was really pleased with this when I bought it to replace an older Wavlink one which was a bit temperamental and a pain to keep trying to pair with my router with the WPS.This TP-Link one not only looks much nicer, with no visible antennae sticking out, but it was easy to pair with the router and set up, without having to fiddle with WPS buttons, and it immediately created its own network with the same name as my main Wifi network, with "_EXT" on the end, as you would expect, meaning that all my smart devices connected to my old one were happy to connect to this one too. It's good that it has an app, too, which gives useful monitoring and functions of this Wifi extender. However, a Firmware update a couple of weeks ago bricked it and it would no longer work.Immediately following the FW update, it lost its '_EXT' network and when trying to re-pair it to my router, it would only create its network with the same name as my main network, without the _EXT suffix. Every time.I tried re-adding the suffix within the app, which said it had done it but actually hadn't, and I even connected the extender to my computer via ethernet, to use its web-interface (very slow and clunky), and again, it appeared to let me add the _EXT suffix but it was never actually added. Many multiple attempts to reset (via the app and also with a paperclip in the reset hole) and reconfigure failed to create a network with an _EXT suffix, and it would only use the exact same name as the main Wifi, every time.More frustratingly, when going through this prodecure, it wants to connect to its new _EXT network to complete the process, but every time, this extended network was unavailable, and watching the Wifi names on another phone, I could see that the _EXT network this device created was only visible for a couple of seconds before disappearing again, meaning that it could never complete the setup, no matter how many times I reset it and tried again. The Amazon 30-day returns window was closed and it just told me to contact TP-Link to resolve. An excruciating call to TP-Link was mainly just the operator there telling me that it's up to Amazon to replace or refund it and wouldn't accept that this wasn't possible, without a lot of argument and me emailing her a screenshot of the Amazon page telling me that. She also kept trying to explain how to do a reset etc, and wouldn't really listen when I tried to explain that I had tried everything many many times with no joy. After sending her proof-of-purchase and other info she wanted, she eventually agreed to start a returns process. However, I then managed to call Amazon (not easy!) and explained the problem, and the representative there was very helpful and agreed to do a return/refund despite being outside the 30 days, and she even added a ยฃ5 credit to my account for the inconvenience, which was nice. So, I would say this Wifi Extender device is a very good choice, but if it's working, don't let it do a FW update!!

Easy Setup and Strong Signal
I was worried this extender might be tricky to set up or not improve the signal much, but it connected quickly using the app and boosted coverage to the far end of my flat. The dual band worked well for streaming and browsing, and the Ethernet port was handy for connecting a device nearby. Compared to others Iโve tried, this one was easier to install and gave a more stable connection. Iโd recommend it if you want a simple way to fix weak WiFi spots.

Does exactly what it promises.
The TP-Link AC750 does exactly what it says on the box. It is easy to set up, and you end up with a local clone of your main Wi-Fi with the suffix 'EXT' after the usual SSID. There were a few things I was curious about before I bought it, so here are the answers.1. Will I need to sign into my accounts again once I switch devices to the extender signal?Yes. When I transferred devices such as the Echo Show 8 onto the extender channels, I had to sign in to the extender Wi-Fi and my Amazon account. After that, the devices worked as before, just with a stronger Wi-Fi connection.2. Can I control the extender from an app?Yes. You can use the TP-Link Tether app to set up and manage the extender. You can also see what clients you have connected and what channel they are using.3. Do devices pick the best channel automatically?Yes. You can force individual devices on to static IP addresses and either the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz channel. But if you do nothing, your devices will set themselves up completely automatically but always favouring the faster 5Ghz channel.4. How will I know how far away I can use the extender? You set the extender up close to your main house router. You then take the extender and plug it in where you have poor Wi-Fi signal. You then log in to the extender from your phone (easiest), or a laptop/tablet/PC. The signal strength is assessed between the main router and extender, before you select 'looks good' in the extender settings. The lights on the front of the extender will also function as a signal meter during this phase.5. What is the point of the ethernet connector? My main PC is upstairs in a home office. It gets a decent Wi-Fi signal from the house router, but the signal rises and falls depending on doors being open/closed. By plugging the PC in to the ethernet connector of the extender, I still only get Wi-Fi speeds obviously, but the connection to the router downstairs has gone rock solid, regardless of the office door being open or closed. I performed an Ookla speed test before fitting the extender and afterwards. The connection speed has also now become very stable at the house maximum broadband speed.6. Does the extender manage it's own router connection and power level?Yes. The connection between the house router and the extender is automatic, but not fixed. The extender will swap channels and manage the signal power, to maintain a strong connection to the router.7. Is there any manual control over the extender's cloned Wi-Fi signal strength?Yes, there are three power settings to choose from, 'near', 'mid' and 'far'. So if, like me, you only needed to extend a single room, you can select the lowest power setting and prevent the extender from working unnecessarily hard.8. Does the extender have a Mesh mode?Yes, the extender has three modes of operation, extender, access point (ethernet to Wi-Fi conversion) and mesh. You will need a house router capable of mesh operation. If you already have a mesh-capable TP-Link router, the router and the extender(s) will connect seamlessly with just one Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast. Otherwise the extenders will each have a suffix (EXT, EXT2) etc, but once mobile devices such as phones or tablets are paired with the extender(s), you can just walk around the house and the devices will switch between the strongest Wi-Fi signal automatically.

Solid Device well worth the pricd
Solid WiFi Extender that does the job. This is a medium tier device since it can only broadcast upto 300 Mbps on 2.4Ghz and 433 Mbps on 5Ghz frequency bands. With that said, set up was easy with the Tether app. It can be used as a WiFi repeater/extender or as an Access Point (ethenet to WiFi). I've tried both and tested the speeds and it's solid. Great for larger homes.

Fast and in good condition
This extended the wifi reach to an otherwise weakly connected upper floor. I no longer have signals drop - it has been great for meetings and classes.

Good quality
This item works well but it came with the wrong electrical pin set-up, which proved problematic!

Makes router black spots more accessible.
Perfect. From the instructions, it seems like these only work in standard homes and not larger homes or mansions. So, if one's router can reach the entire home, this device will work within that range, especially at the limit of the original router's range. At the limit of the original router's range, this device will help devices connect faster with faster Internet.
