Although this is my second one in as many months, it's holding well with my dog. We have a rescue 9 month old staffy X who had never been taught to loose leash walk. It's heavy duty, so it'll never snap. And the retract feature is good. The torch does get dim pretty quickly, but it's not all that bright to begin with. It's just a very good feature to see the floor straight ahead. The first one broke because my dog took it for a merry trip across some gravel and it's lock feature became difficult to activate. But all in all it's been very handy when practicing her recall and for taking her on adventures. If you have a tugging dog, I would recommend this

I will nearly be in double figures now of leads that I've bought for my 2 dogs. Not necessarily because the break but some are harnesses or short leads etc. I've had retractable leads before from the usual large brand that you've probably heard of that makes retractable leads and they've all eventually broke. So I thought what's the point in buying a branded one as a lot of the non branded stuff on Amazon I've had recently has been good. For me at least the torch was a bit of a gimmick and not something I'd really use as I prefer a head torch. And as it's AAA powered and not USB charged I wouldn't use it day to day but it'll be a handy spare for camping. The little pouch for treats or pop bags is really handy, not that I keep it on the lead for walks but I leave it attached at home then I dont end up walking 200 yards out of the house before remembering I'd forgot pop bags. The lead itself is nice and sturdy and quiet large which I don't mind. Plenty long enough to let my dopey dog run around with having to let him off the lead. Really handy for the trail I walk him on that is shared with other walkers and cyclists so I can bring him back as they approach. Nice addition to the collection!

Best dog lead that i have come across... it has a locking mechanism that makes picking poo up easy... so my dog can't wonder off whilst I'm doing that. Even better the long 8 metre lead is a bonus with poo bag carrier and a fixable torch, for in the dark. The lead is of good quality, comfortable and light to handle.

I ordered this for my 24kg dalmatian. I've used it for maybe 3 weeks and it no longer retracts smoothly as the tape folds and stops it working properly. If I was using with a larger dog (it says up to 50kg) I'm not sure the lock would hold as it slips for my dog. Not usually an issue but has happened a couple of times by the road. I do like the lead and it's probably perfect for a less enthusiastic dog who is constantly moving around 😁 I brought this lead as it had the attached torch and poo bag holder. Not needed to use the torch yet but if the tape was thicker and the 'lock' was more secure it would be a great little lead.

Loved this lead when it first arrived as it really gave the extra stretch and freedoms for the dog, we had no problems at all. It was a bit larger then expected but handy to have the torch and poo bags attached (even though it got annoying after a bit but easily removable) A few months in the rubber grip did come off but didn’t effect the use of the product so still able to use. It’s good as it gives your dog freedom to go that bit further knowing you still have control. Sometimes, it can take a while to retract back in but I put that down to the dog going swimming with it attached to her and also thought could be just wear and tear. Just yesterday the product stopped ‘locking’ after I purchased end of March 2023 - and 5 months later we can longer use it, so I am a bit disappointed

Purchased this as a replacement as our last lead snapped!!! The length is fab. However, having had a rope retractable previously this is different and the lead can become folded and does not totally retract on occasions due to it the lead folding. Easily rectified though as I iron the lead (under a cloth) flat again every so often which does the trick? It’s a bigger handle than our last lead but I’ve adapted. Haven’t used the torch on it yet but will be doing before long as the nights are drawing in!!

We've used this for two days now and really can't get on with it. What you don't appreciate from the badly photoshopped photos is how big this product is - approximately 50 % bigger than the previous one we had (which admittedly was a 5m one). The plastic is hard and feels cheap, so the whole thing rattles - particularly as you can feel the spool move back and forth as you walk. The hard plastic bag dispenser just adds to the noise factor. We've noticed the lead gets tangled when trying to retract it - previous ones have a semi-circular slot for the lead to feed into the cassette which seems to guide it in better than the rectangular one on this. Nine times out of ten the big button locks the lead rather than braking it, so instead of slowing down the dog, you lock the lead and end up with the lead trailing and then wrapping round the dogs' legs. The big button is also very protrusive and sticks up a fair way, so with that and the size of the handle, it makes it difficult to use (I have average sized hands for a man). Apologies for all the gripes, I just feel that I spent an extra few pounds for this one when I should have stuck with the ones around the £11-£13 mark.

Devo premettere che ho un Beagle e tira con tantissima forza. Uso questo guinzaglio che comunque sembra robusto solo fuoristrada campi parchi sottobosco. In strada o in centri urbani uso il guinzaglio grosso non estensibile per più sicurezza. Questo estensibile uno spasso negli spazi aperti 8 metri di libertà si sentono essendo il Beagle non affidabile lasciarlo slegato per via che segue le tracce e facilmente scappa

Die Hundeleine kann ich sehr Empfehlung läuft gut zurück die Leine bis jetzt und mit der Taschenlampe ist eine gute Idee man hat den Hund wenn es Dunkel ist gut im Griff
